Are you happy where you are??? |
|
Many people are not happy where they are located at present. They would rather prefer to be in some other places as they think life would have been better there.
Though my home is in the city I live in a small town and contended that I have all the privacy and no disturbance from without. This is the place of my choice and would hate to exchange a flat in the city.
How about you? Are you happy where you are? Or would like to be in some other place of your liking?
Please share.

I like your stand that you are not unhappy as to where you are now. and I feel people should have the feel of contentment. of course there are some places which are not so suitable for living.

2. world2lot (300) | 3 weeks ago | I am really happy where I am. I mean the job where I am working. I work nearly 7.5 hours a day and getting a good pay out. There is no tension in my job. Its just e-mail support to customers. So I really enjoy with what I am.

krajibg (2504) | 3 weeks ago | Hi,
I think there is some misunderstanding here. My point was to discuss if one is happy where he/she lives, permanent or temporarily. But you have put your level of job satisfaction. well job too could be something that marks your level of happiness.

3. luvmysons (328) | 3 weeks ago | For the most part I am happy where I am.. Sometimes however I wish I could be somewhere else.. Move maybe to a more private town.. I live where I grew up.. SOmetimes I feel that everyone knows my business.. But I do love the town..

|
krajibg (2504) | 3 weeks ago | hi luvmysons,
This is I guess is quite normal for most of us sometime to feel the way you have had. As you have mentioned you love your place it indicates that you are actually not unhappy but some time fleeting thoughts go stray and strike your idle mind if you were somewhere else it would have been better. Right?

4. reeyan (422) | 3 weeks ago | Hi krajibg
Yes some time people have to locate some where they are actually not happy. But some circumstances compel them to that. People is slave of the circumstances. It is situational limitation for them to be in such place and position that he don't like to be but it is inevitable for him to carry that. For instance I am not happy here but I am bound to be here for some certain reason. that's our limitation. We can't carry over the circumstantial binding.

krajibg (2504) | 3 weeks ago | Very true reeyan. This sems sometime as been envisased that we be there where we are. This is the result of situation and circumstance. not necessary that one should be happy where is/she is living but the external phenomenons are such that he/she is bound to be where he/she is.
I can well presume your point there. This is some time a sort of compromise that we make with ourselves and the factor of happiness is your acceptance of the situation and location.

krajibg (2504) | 3 weeks ago | Yes of course reeyan. Happiness lies both within and without of our being. Who knows that the place you are not happy to live in might prove a boon for you tomorrow? So the tomorrow aspect and its prospect can not be denied not be rejected.

This IS good decision that you have opted to stay in the rural part of the country. people tend to give more importance to what is on going. and terefore it it is difficult to sat yes or no.

No my friend there is no question of leaving this small town which is far from the madding crowd. I of course do go to my father's home, I mean my ancestral home but here I have made my own home where my father or any sibling can not stake claim to be of theirs.

7. Pose123 (5691) | 3 weeks ago | Hi Rajib, I am happy with where I am living. This house has been my home for more than thirty years, and I'm not ready to leave it yet. Over the years we get use to certain things and that's the way it is with me. I know that some day I'll have to leave it but I'm in no hurry for that. I live in a small town and don't believe that I would be content in a large city. Here I know a lot of the people on a first name basis and that's something that I like. Blessings.

krajibg (2504) | 3 weeks ago | Hi friend,
I admire your commitment towards your home. this is ever better to be able to love the place where one is located either by birth or by profession or job. I know some people whop are not at all happy and at ease in small places or towns. the most often heard complaints are that there are not all the facilities for an enjoyable life.
I fail to understand what they wish to connote with the enjoyable life. The place where I am now is quite small. But I am not unhappy. I am busy with my job, computer, mylot, shopping/marketing, visiting people occasionally and attending social functions.

krajibg (2504) | 3 weeks ago | That is what is is most necessary for living Zandi. When the Industrialization was on its wheel in Europe poets like Pope, Yeats and Wordsworth loathed the urban life and started a search for a peaceful location where peace would fall in drops. I am brought up in city but now settled in a small town where the pollution of the environment and mental serenity is still far away.
Your home place might be far away abut the place where you are installed now is the source of your contentment. What else one should look for more than this?

| 9. lukedom (8) | 3 weeks ago | Truly, alot of people think life would have been better where are they are not. They say "if i were born in Holland I would have become great", many other asumption. but i tell you "you will never know what you have, until u have loose it", many were born in some great countries, one day, heavy rainfall come and kill them all, some, it is thunder stone, and many other calamities.
The message is this, BE HAPPY WHERE U ARE, AND LOVE WHO YOU ARE...

10. mysdianait (11811) | 3 weeks ago | Hi Rajib!
I am perfectly happy where I am now. In fact I am probably happier in my present situation than any other that I have been in before. I have lived in several different homes and different locations near to where I am right now and I have had different jobs during my life too. My situation came about when I lost my job due to the company closing a few yaears ago which meant I also had to put my home up for sale too. I then had to find a new job and a new home, both of which have turned out to be what I always wanted. My flat is small and my job is the one I trained for but had not actually done since I moved here to Italy due to not knowing the language all those years ago.
I am in the centre of town but overlooking a park so it seems that I am in the countryside. Iam within walking distance of all the shops, the post office, chemists and any other office that I use regularly so I do not have to use the car. My son's home is half way between my home and my work-place and all in all it is perfect here! At the time of choosing to come here it was a difficult decision to make as it was not the sort of place that I thought I wanted to be in but time has now proved it to be the best situation and it is a joy to return here each time that I come home.

krajibg (2504) | 3 weeks ago | Kudos to your spirit Diana. Though being an English you have so well adapted to the life style of Italy that you are no longer an English now and I think in the races of your mind there lies all the Italy in you more than England.
The feeling of belongingness is great but I lament the fact that this is not to be seen with the Bangladeshi migrants in India and particularly in Assam. They are born and brought up in India but their heart and souls are either in Bangladesh or in Pakistan. Is it justified?
I also appreciate your undying zeal for life that even though you had to sell your house you did not break and consolidated that life has many avenues to look for. Great.....

krajibg (2504) | 3 weeks ago | Ofcourse there is no use crying over the spilt milk but the lesson one gathers is something top store for future.
About those Bangladeshis - most of them are uninvited guests and even after given a chance they do not show gratitude towards the country that has fed them and sheltered them. Ungrateful creatures I call them.
