Where were your kids last night at midnight?

I know it wasn't mine...they would have cut it off at the pole by remote device....or by a highly trained squad of covert op squirrels.
WEll, at midnight my youngest daughter was upstairs in her room studying for a class and yackin on her cell phone, winding down from a busy night at work.
The others, who the heck knows, they all live out of state on their own now.

Wow, you have switches outside that anyone can use to turn the power off!!!
We have a box on the wall outside that only the power company can get into.
That would freak me out,
Who turned the power back on,the same person that turned it off,

weren't me - I was asleep and I ain't got no kids - and the cats don't know how to flip switches...

Well, the only one of my kids I can account for would be my youngest. And he was upstairs in his room playing on facebook to God knows what time. His posts to his wall indicated like 4 hours before I woke up. Nice way to keep tabs on my child huh?*LOL*

At midnight he was in his bed, at 3 am in mine. Snuggly bunny that he is. LOL! He's ONLY 5 Dawn..he didn't do IT!!! Uhm...this time.............

That is really scary. Our switches are either inside the main part of the house or there are a few in the cellar. There is an outside entrance to the cellar that we don't keep locked, but you have to get past our doggies to get to it, so we are not worried about that. I would definitely not want our switches to be outside where somebody could turn them off, even if it was only a prank.

By the way, both of my kids were home sleeping last night, although admittedly not in the same house.

Well my kids aren't kids any more and I doubt they would be playing pranks...lol

Our box is on the outside too. Can't you put a lock on it. Were you using more appliances than usual. Sometimes ours is triggered when I run the vacuum and I have too many other appliances on like the iron at the same time.

Be kind of spooky to think it could be a prankster, or worse a home invasion. I would find a way to lock it up.

One of mine was in Arizona.......one in New York and one in Austin MN...so they didn't do it! If they did I'd give them a whack up long side the head for scaring the beegeevers out of you! That would be freaky!

I hope you let your kids know just how scary that was and that it isn't funny at all. There are just to many bad things that go on in the world now for those types of tricks. If you tell them that you thought about calling the cops and then the stupid kids that pulled the trick would be in real trouble. I always use these types of things to teach lessons to my kids, maybe I can save them some grief
later on when they might be temped to do something stupid like this.

Mine were at home with their families, and my grandkids.I do not quite understand about you having outdoor switches, we do not, although there are breakers in the basement.
