I...

Cold weather really makes me tired. I did not even get here yesterday, but I did go to work.
I was in bed before 8 p.m. last night.
This morning I am awake. I have gotten dressed, eaten a big breakfast and dreaded the drive to...

Woke up this morning to 34 degrees with wind chill at 26 degrees. And it didn't even freeze last night! We also had a mixture of rain/sleet/snow at daybreak which is supposed to continue through the morning.
At least I don't...

If you live in snow country, do you remember being a child in winter and wearing a snowsuit and being so bundled up you could barely move?
That's how I feel right now. I'm sitting here in layers. There's no way I'm leaving home...

I needed groceries and decided to go on the coldest day of winter so far. It didn't take long to realize I need my thermal underwear today as soon as I stepped outside. The digital readout on the way home from Wal-Mart showed 15...

Today government offices and schools and banks were closed due to the Martin Luther King birthday commemoration.
I have done a lot of necessary things around the house that I often put off. I loved it! I had no reason or...

I think this is the last day that temperatures will get up around freezing for a while. We shall have bitter dangerous cold on Sunday and Monday. Hubby will try to be home early enough to work on the car.
He thinks the thermostat...

All the hype of the big southern snow storm didn't materialize in my neck of the woods and I'm fine with that.
We have some snow but as you can see not much at all. The roads are bad from what I've seen on the news...but the...

The sky is blue today, no cloud in sight. You might think that is a lovely day, and it is if you're on the inside looking out. However, here it means the temp is a -3 with bone chilling wind chill of -21.
I need to go start my...

We had some snow fall yesterday. Not much, but with the temps as frosty as they are this morning, yesterday's snow crunches under my feet. The air is crisp too, giving it that wonderful winter aspect. However, the wind chill...
