I have been writing and writing and then looking for more writing until my eyes feel crossed. I was listening to YouTube while I was working, and this song, “You Just Can’t Go Home Again," by David Cassidy came on. Now it got me...

We have been feeling down since our granddaughter left, because it was so wonderful having her to ourselves for five days.
I was very worried about her flying alone from LaGuardia airport in NYC. Her dad dropped her off early...

Ms.Chelle So glad you got to spend that precious time with your granddaughter, @DianneN.
As for the ICE officials: I don't recall guns, but do remember the National Guard "greeting" me and all other out-of-state flyers at Hancock International (Syracuse) in 2021, and...

I hope it stays that way. It feels better outside even without the sun as the wind has stopped. That helps a lot.
I still need to bring the laundry in and put it away. I might also empty the kiddie pool some more. It's almost...

Ms.Chelle OMG, @wolfgirl569 ! Yes, that wind can really knock you down sometimes.
A couple of my friends and I (all 58 to 80 years of age) volunteered at a pancake breakfast the weekend before last, and we weren't the ones inside the heated pavilion. We opted to stand...

My bass student, Vivienne, is turning 15 in May or June of next year. In Mexican tradition, a big party is held for girls when they turn 15. I forget what it's called. On Friday, Vivienne's mother invited me to her daughter's...

Ms.Chelle Congrats on the invite! I hope you enjoy the bash.
I remember feeling embarassed in kindergarten when my teacher had me stand on a chair to be recognized because I was the only student who followed her directions properly (coloring in apples on a tree).
Now,...

I used a good chunk of what was on my EBT card when I went to the store. Now it's all put away.
When I got home and after I put the stuff away, I made a couple of phone calls, but I left messages both times...just called someone...

When I was actively teaching at DVC, I would grade papers until I passed out, usually at about 11 PM.
At this point, I usually pass out by 9 PM.
At what point in the evening do you usually "call it a day"?.

It's 9:06 p.m., and I need to get to bed.
Maybe it was more mental than anything, but I'm tired.
Tomorrow's Saturday, and I have nothing on the calendar! I hope to get caught up on some reading. I also need to...

I’ve made a collage of some more plant oddities although perhaps you’ve seen them before. Two show different types of seed-cases while top right is a leaf with an interesting shape.
I thought the seed case lower left was quite...

So I guess because we got up early everyone thought we could go to bed at 7pm (which we did) and sleep the whole night through. Which meant at 2am Amyra and I were staring at each other, biding time until everyone else got up....

Better environmentally I think and no lugging plastic bottles around. I plan on trying them out as soon as I need detergent. I bought quite a large bottle last time so I won't need it for awhile, but when I do..sheets for me

Ms.Chelle It's 45°F (7°C). The wind is picking up. Rain and snow are coming (which is more than all right by me). I've cleaned one room, walked the dog three or four times, fed him and the cat, ordered groceries, and written two articles. I live alone and am almost 60,...

Only one person gets a prize for guessing. It's that crappy pellet burner again. I would give it to the scrap guy if I had my way. But hubby thinks it keeps the room warmer. And I agree but only when it is working.
I have a load...
