And people are paying him to post 'discussions' here by still responding to him. I hope they aren't all holding their breath waiting for a comment back or we'll be missing several myLotters soon when they expire from suffocation. Of course, nothing in the guidelines states you have to do anything. You can post 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 'discussions' and never do anything else...and earn...as long as you have people responding to you. Only 1,000,000,000,000,000,899 to go!

From "Prairie Home Comedy." I own nothing and certainly not this song. -uploaded in HD at http://www.TunesToTube.com

@JolietJake I don't mind that as such, as long as they aren't violations I just ignore people that don't ever get back to me. Now I'm on here way less than I was before those people are a lot easier for me to remember

Unfortunately he isn't copy/pasting or posting referral links, just clogging the discussion list

We have three or four of those now. Time there was some restrictions on when and how often one can post a discussion? [rant] I'd like to see something like these: 1) New users have to post a number of responses before they can post a discussion. (Would discourage 90% of spammers but might also turn away people who need to know "How does this work?" or want to introduce themselves.) 2) Responses don't count as earnings unless OP replies to (comments on) at least one. 3) Discussions deleted by Admin don't count. 4) Can't post a discussion within 15 mins of a previous OR until previous discussion has received at least one response which has been acknowledged. [/rant]

@JolietJake I well remember the privileges, of course, and I always thought it a shame that posting a discussion was not considered something which had to be 'earned'.

@owlwings "1) New users have to post a number of responses before they can post a discussion." does that include short generic responses? will there be a character/word count?
@JolietJake (50190)

Starting a discussion should be considered a privilege, and I am sure you remember when we had to earn certain privileges here...I wouldn't be adverse to it at all...

That has been my grouse too specially when veterans do it. May not be this bad though. Their countless posts get responses with no comments received.

@JolietJake -- I got a song about that....but it's country, so you won't like it.
Another example of this mans talent, I love this one, it's a bit off pace for Jim but still so very good, I also don't know when he did this, but I know when...

You can relax about myLotters holding their breath until they suffocate. Once they pass out, the autonomic nervous system kicks in and starts their breathing again. Now that I've assuaged your worry over that, I wonder why the person you're referencing chooses not to participate fully in the myLot experience.

He'll never run out of responders either, because I know of at least one that goes to the 'Discussions w/no responses' section all the time and will respond to them no matter what. The sad part is, with that many discussions, they are liable to cash out before people that do interact here but aren't as active.

I know who you are talking about and that isn't the only person that isn't responding to anyone on their posts; however, the other person doesn't have endless posting sprees. My problem with this is we can't block this person in our recent discussions and when you write that many it can be harder to find discussions of people I'm not following now. Sure I can go to interesting discussions, no response, people I'm following and check recent responses. I'm not here 24/7 and yes it might look like I live here at times, but that isn't going to be the case in upcoming months; specially, if I lose the bet. If you don't know about the bet its about sports. I am sorry this is going to be long, as want to add a few rules I would like to see happen. New members are to introduce themselves and can't post another post until they respond to members that have commented. I'm sure somebody comments on new members post pretty fast, so they will have quick responses. Any discussions that are one sentence earn zero. I would like to see the rule be written with few words, so new members can't say they didn't know this information.

@JolietJake I read every post before commenting and thought about Owlwings post. I posted an introduction when I first joined and commented on every post to that discussion. It helped the group know they were going to see certain types of discussions from me and some of my interests and I quickly knew several people I wanted to follow and they followed me.

Earlier I noticed something I've not seen here before: only 1 item under 'Discussions with no response'. I refreshed as I thought this must be an error and it was now 0. Perhaps this guy broke it. I regularly visit that section (as recommended in an old post by MyLotBugs) but only reply to a small minority. Most are unintelligible, too niche, spam, or blanket coverage like this member.
