Another Friday means another weekend means some people don't have to go to work but others do and THEIR weekend might be Tuesday and Wednesday or maybe Monday and Tuesday or maybe Tuesday and Thursday

which would be really messed up because I would hate not having a 2 day weekend which I normally don't have anyway because something always comes up on Saturday or Sunday requiring my attention but that's life.
But the weekend is upon (some of) us and so far I don't have anything I absolutely have to do, other than the usual things, which revolve around tending to Scar's every whim and want/need.
But in between I shall be here and there and maybe even there but I kinda doubt I'll go there because let's face it, going there usually leads to madness and mayhem.
And I like M & M's, but not those two.
Meanwhile, Thanksgiving is closing in on us...less than a week to go...and I am thankful that one of my sisters is having the family free-for-all at her house, because I don't think I could get my house straightened out enough in time to have it here.
Plus Scar would probably veto that idea anyway.
Thankfully.

The only thing I can count on weekends for is not having to worry about UPS screwing up orders from work. They've been horrible this year.

@NJChicaa Last week they screwed us by forgetting to come by and pick up the outgoing shipments. I came in the next morning and they were still sitting on the floor at the shop waiting. Of course Boss had to create new labels for two that were supposed to ship second-day air and change them to overnight delivery. Over $100 more per package...UPS is supposed to reimburse us the difference, but it takes them forever.

I have the weekend off, if you can call it being off that is. I will be busy cooking and baking, plus doing the housework. Truly need a maid.
Thanksgiving will be a day of work for me. Thankfully I only have one client for 2 hours. That will give me time to prepare our meal and enjoy the day. My daughter will be here to help prepare the meal and watch keep the overactive 2 year old out of my hair. I will let her help me with the biscuits. She does like to help cook with her grammy.
Our younger cat doesn't mind having extra people in the house. More people means more chances she can finagle a treat or two out of someone.

@JolietJake if we were having a houseful I would make a ham and turkey. But, it will only be my husband, my 2 daughters, my granddaughter, and myself. So, no need for to go all out.

Scar gets weird around people...he wants to check them out, but he really doesn't want them touching him until he has decided what he thinks, and of course as soon as he walks up to start checking them out they try to pet him so he jumps out of their reach and starts staring at them.
My baby sister Sheri is making turkey and potatoes and dressing/stuffing, my brother Steve and his wife are bringing a ham, I've been designated to supply rolls, others will bring desserts/green bean casserole/mac & cheese/whatever...usually ends up as quite the feast.

I will be babysitting for a few kids this weekend so no break for me. Lol. I wouldn't want to be a host for a family gathering either-too much. I never volunteered that when I lived close to family.

I'd be yelling at kids for jumping and making my record skip.

@LovingMyBabies Of course if I played them in the bedroom it wouldn't be a problem since my turntable back here is suspended from the ceiling...they could jump and stomp all they want and it wouldn't affect it.

I usually find that at weekends by the time I've done everything I have to do there is little time left for doing things I want to do. I need a 3 day weekend at least.
In fact I think we should reverse the week and work for 2 days and have a 5 day weekend.

@JolietJake Definitely the Russians. If it were the Illuminati it would be much lighter!!!!!

Fall/winter are the worst because of the shorter amount of daylight available.
Pretty sure it's the Russians...or maybe the Illuminati...behind it.

Scar would never allow family members, to invade his private domain! Have a great weekend, J.J. and don't let Scar push you around, like he usually does

My thanksgiving will be at my great-aunt's house. I was wondering if Scar liked people. Lily, my black cat, doesn't people. She now has gotten used to Chris finally.

He'll accept people after they've been in the house for 20-30 minutes, but it takes a while. Me 'n Dad are the only people he sees with any regularity, and he stills ain't sure about Dad some days.

I like exploring the 200 character limit sometimes to see if I can use all of them up...and I did, exactly 200 counting spaces.

Something almost always comes up for me...I have to end up fixing something at one of the rental houses Boss owns, or I get a call from someone needing to borrow sound equipment or something.

For many years my 'weekend' was Wednesday and Thursday, I worked at a convenience store that was open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I had the night shift Friday through Tuesday.

My weekends are Saturday and Sunday but I have to be at work so my alternate weekends are Thursday and Friday.
Alternate as in alternate life.

I am always torn between wanting a weekend off and earning better income by working weekends. At the moment I have weekends off but I am seriously rethinking this.

My husband has always had the kind of job where it rotates through out the week, so some weekends he works and has 2 week days off or some weekends he is off. It gets confusing
