New Strategy

Okay, I weighed in this morning. I didn't lose any weight, but instead gained a couple. Nothing major and I'll get rid of that with the next month. I'm sure the picture will show some great strides in inches lost, if not pounds, as happened the last time I gained instead of lost.
So, I'm going with a new strategy. Cutting down on the potatoes I eat. I've been going through them quite fast, and getting rid of the bacon. My blood pressure was also up this last week when I was at the hospital, so getting rid of the bacon is a must.
I haven't cheated on this diet, so I'll just be cutting back. Now to get the picture taken and see what that shows. I'll post it as soon as I have it.
I have the notifications done, and time to get ready to leave for church. It does look like the snow has stopped, but there is still an advisory until noon and the snow is supposed to end about 10 AM, a couple hours from now. I'm hoping the roads will be good. I'll soon know that too.
You all have a good day/afternoon/evening. My plans today - take the tree down. Yes, the Christmas tree is still up. I was going to take it down on the first, but I've had no time to do so. I'm also going to work on my book I had no time for yesterday.
How is your day? Do you have plans? Will you be watching the Super Bowl? Good luck to the Eagles.
Thanks for reading. Photo taken this morning.

My last weigh in I found out that I didn't lose and I didn't gain. I believe as you do that the potatoes are the culprit. So for the next month at least, I will eat no potatoes. As for the bacon I do believe that it is also one of the things that raise the blood pressure and cause you to have extra water weight.
Don't give up you are doing so good. Next month will be a good one.

You might think about adding more fruit. Good fiber and strawberries, blueberries and pineapple have a enzyme in that helps with digestion and weight loss.

@just4him .....Oh, good. I recall when I lost all my weight. I went through a time that the doc called a plateau where I couldn't lose for the life of me.

@celticeagle I'm still seeing small changes, so though I'm not seeing the pounds this month, I am seeing other things that make a difference.

Wow on your snowy photo. Its crazy going on Spring here. That worries me cause the trees and shrubs are budding when its way too early. Losing weight is not an easy job. I lost forty pounds over the last couple of years. I could stand to lose another twenty. I mostly eat vegetarian-vegan and that has helped a bunch. That means that I eat little fatty cheese. No meat. I eat carbs BUT they are whole grain and real food. I eat potatoes, too. I know that I am eating more fruit than vegies. I need to sit down and look at my ratio of fruit versus vegetables. I rarely look at calories although when we eat a fake meat product, I do. Salt, though. I look at how much salt goes in cause that is a huge issue when it comes to blood pressure and the heart. Take care.

I know I eat more fruit than vegetables. I don't have any dairy in my diet, so no cheese. Right now I have two zucchini, a spaghetti squash, two Japanese sweet potatoes someone from church gave me to try, and some tomatoes, onions, and potatoes. That's it for veggies. My freezer is full to the max with large bags of fruit. I had to squeeze in my meat, and hope I had room for it.
It's been easier than I thought it would be. This is the second time in 6 months I gained instead of lost, and the last time the picture showed I had done a lot with the inches. I'm expecting the same this time as well. My clothes are starting to get too big once again. Another month and they will be.

I am going to make some game day snacks. Hubby will be watching hockey and superbowl.
I joined Weight Watchers online. I lost 3 pounds the first 2 weeks. You have been an inspiration to me.
Clothes fitting better is more important than the scale.
Some fluctuation is fine as long as it doesn't keep fluctuating up month by month.

True. Good for you joining Weight Watchers. I'm sticking to the diet, so no chance of it creeping back up. I expect I'll see changes when the picture is taken. My clothes are getting big again, so I know I've lost some inches if not pounds.

We don't lose weight every weigh-in, but you do seem disciplined. I have been getting items ready to sell on Facebook.

I'm trying to be. I don't buy anything that would get me in trouble with my diet, so that's a good thing. The closest I came to food not on my diet today was the pot luck at church. I only had fruit, I couldn't have anything else. And water.

@MsBooklover We had Teen Challenge there today giving testimonies. It was great, and we had a pot luck after to show our appreciation of them. Those women came or are coming through some very difficult times in their lives.

@just4him I never bought a tree this year but know what? I need to take my pretty Christmas wreath off the front door before Valentine's day arrives! I don't think the red Christmas tree ornament is going to fly as a Valentine's day gizmo.

I'll be spending the day with my two daughters and my granddaughter while the guys go off to their super bowl party. We'll have our own girlie party with a good movie and some snacks

Sorry you didn't lose, and have to cut more out. But glad you didn't cheat on the diet and I'm sure there's inches lost!
Hope you have a nice day.

That is truly a white blanket. Unfortunately potatoes are not good for the diet.
