Whole30 One Year Results

It doesn't seem like it, yet I have been showing you the side by side photos for 11 months now. Today is the first year anniversary of starting Whole30, with the results shown above.
Today's weigh-in didn't go as expected, but I know the problem. I got into a couple high sodium foods, bacon and hot dogs. They are now permanently off my menu as the sodium added to my weight with water retention. I will be flushing my system for the next several days and doing a new weigh-in next week once my system is flushed of all unnecessary sodium.
I did do a weigh-in for my birthday last month, and that showed a decrease of 3 pounds, giving me a total of 32 pounds for the year.
The above picture is the result of one year's progress.
How has your day gone? Thanks for reading.

@just4him I had to correct my many typos. Lol! I haven't been on FB for days and days, but will check next time I'm on. I'm still proud of you!!!! Yes, thanks, we had a very nice date night - as usual, except I was a bit teary-eyed that the kids are no longer here.

I don't know why I wanted to eat hot dogs. I never really liked them. These were 100% beef, and I did look for the one with the least amount of sodium, but well, no more hot dogs or bacon. I've tried turkey, and the bacon I get is uncured.
Thanks. I feel like I've come a long way with it.

At least you are doing it the smart way @just4him it's much healthier to lose slowly over time rather than trying to lose 10 pounds in a month, the skin won't retract fast so if you lose too fast it just hangs unless you have money to have the excess removed.

Congratulations, 32 pounds is a really commendable amount of weight to have lost. I am sure that the swimming you are doing also helps.

You should be very proud of yourself. That's quite an accomplishment and 32 lbs is a considerable amount of weight to lose in one year.
Keep up the good work!

Bacon and hot dogs? Those are not good if you want to lose weight and they do contain some sodium. Indeed, water retention is a big problem. You should eat lots of kiwis, this fruit helps a lot when you want to flush some of the water in your body. I know that from my wife, she used a diet for water retention and kiwis were a must
.
Congrats for the weight loss and I wish you success! You can do even better

@just4him yeah, I remembered this when I was reading your post. At least that's what her nutritionist said
. And is good you love kiwis, you should try this. Of course, be careful with the sodium, it's really bad for your health if you go over 3 grams/day. Even at 2 there are some issues, but manageable.

Yes, it is a way of life. I won't be going back to the old way of eating, though I am planning on a change-up. Paleo is very close to Whole30. The difference being NO potatoes. That will be difficult. The addition would be Stevia and honey. I can have natural not refined sugar on that one. So, I'm going to combine the two, and see if I can get better results. We'll see if I buckle on no potatoes.

Thank you. It's not a hard plan to work with. I'm hoping for as good as results next year.
