We have something similar but we call it Egg in the Middle. The bread is buttered and a shot glass is used to make a hole in the center that the egg is poured into. Good eats.

Yes ma'am you do! All about moderation, sometimes you just have to use butter. Me too, and have not heard tadpole in a long time. Good memories.

I've heard of it before but I've never tried to make it. Usually I just make french toast if I have bread ...... I rarely buy bread.

I like the idea of this. I haven't made this in years, but we always called it Egg in the Middle and used a shot glass to cut out the hole in the center of the bread.
