Wednesday our little housekeeper forgot she was supposed to come over; so she is coming on Saturday. I have a lot for her to do.
Yesterday we brought one of our cars into the dealership for routine maintenance. After that we went out to eat at Red Lobster. I had gift cards and PayPal funds that paid for that meal. I had clam strips, scallops and crab cakes, coleslaw, Brussels sprouts and, of course, Cheddar Bay biscuits. YUM!
The other house and the waterproofing foundation work. As I mentioned in a past update, the salesperson high-pressured us into signing for the work since he said there were crews in the area; and that we could get the work done right away. I called to find out when we were scheduled; and they said NOVEMBER 8. Well, I pitched a fit; and they moved it up to September 13. Still not good; and it's during our scheduled vacation time. I hope they come up with a cancellation before then. I told them they were full of BS and were misleading in their practices.

Kidding as usual...glad you enjoyed your elaborate sea food meal. Water proofing is such a botheration. I am terrified of it...I never seem to find the right guy for the job. So I pray to rain gods ...don't trouble us. He obliges when he is drunk.

@LindaOHio Foundation? Building foundation? :( That can be bothersome. For slabs they have some fillers. But foundation. I am not sure. Still, from my little experience, I feel, we need to plan for complete rebuilding after 30 years. From scratch.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the Red Lobster. I always enjoy eating there, especially when they have special "unlimited" offers! haha
Sorry to hear about the time delay on the waterproofing work. It just seems never-ending on the stuff you keep doing for the other house. But it will all be behind you one day soon!

That stinks that she forgot she was supposed to come over...but hopefully she'll do all you need her to tomorrow.
Sounds like a good meal at Red Lobster (well, not for me...but yea).
That stinks about the stuff on the other house - hopefully they will get a cancellation before then and can get it done sooner.

How do you use PayPal funds to pay for the meal? Like how does that work?

I transfer money from my PayPal account to my checking account. Then I have hubs cash a check for me; and I put it in the "food" fund in my purse.

As for that company's business practices, nothing irks me more than one that presents a better sales pitch than they can actually deliver on.
