A new car and now a fuel voucher

Soon after we moved to our new house, we bought a new car. It will be more economical for driving in the city and will be much easier to park. When we went to pick it up, we jokingly said we’d come to get the one under the red cloth. We thought it must be a special model. However, it was actually our car and they made a big deal of whipping the cloth off to reveal our car in all its newness.
Some days later, Vince filled in the online evaluation form about the service we’d received. Today, we got a fuel voucher for $100 to say thanks for filling out the form. How cool is that?
Vince used to buy a lot of cars there for the school he worked for and always received excellent service. The owner has a very good name in the car business and his office is always open for anyone who wishes to see him. It’s a pity there aren’t more in the business with such high ethics.

How cute that they had your car under the red cloth when you went to pick it up. Even better that they sent you a $100 voucher for filling out the service evaluation. Love the picture and wishing you lots of happy miles in your new car.

@JudyEv And quite often, the other drivers don't leave enough space to park in!

@JudyEv Was the Toyota a big vehicle? (I hated driving my first wife's Cadillac. She bought the Seville edition and the nose on that car was LONG, It felt like I was trying to dock a ship every time I pulled into a parking space in it. My car was a Daytona, so was only half the size.)

@DaddyEvil It's a Toyota Prado. I don't have a photo of it but here is one off the net. It has a towing capacity of 3000 kg. It fits in our garage but not by a lot. You can just walk past either end when it's in the garage with the door down.

We had to wait about ten days to take delivery of this. A friend lives opposite the wharves at Fremantle and from her balcony you can see hundreds of cars coming off the ships and being driven to the different dealers' yards. You'd wonder how so many can make their way into the community.

Didn't you fancy an electric car? The big push around the world (or so I am led to believe) is that petrol and diesel is the devil and soon to be banned? Over here you can get a grant to buy one, as they are expensive. Main issue is distance you can travel on one charge and also the number of charging points. If you're just city driving them surely electric is better?

I guess for this car maybe we should have gone electric or at least hybrid. I don't know if they're dearer or not. Mostly, we just didn't think about it. If you live in the country, electric isn't good. At least not in Australia as so many trips are often quite long.

It is very comfortable and much more economical than the big one.

Twenty years ago, I bought a new car there and I was given a big bunch of flowers.
