More icy conditions are expected for our area tonight

The pics show the ice already in our driveway. Tonight into tomorrow we may get an additional quarter inch of ice or so. It's coming as freezing rain from eight pm until noon tomorrow.
I'm not looking forward to driving home in it tonight. Maybe business will die down by then and I'll be able to go home early.
Who else might be getting fun weather tonight?
Added info: we didn't get the freezing rain but it did go north of us. We are getting the rain now and our may still freeze later.

Be careful out there if its icy. We have a sunny day today and the temperature are going up into the 50s. But we'll be getting icy weather Friday (ugh)

@marlina this winter certainly has been very gloomy. You and I will both be happy when spring arrives

It's raining here now and even though we didn't get the ice rain last night it could still affect use tonight if the temps fall enough later.
The main roads are clear of ice so it's they have time to dry before the temps fall that will be good.

@MarshaMusselman ..........I can recall several near mishaps in our parking lot here. It becomes like an ice rink in the winter.

That's wouldn't be much fun either. I can't even imagine what it might be like. At least with snow is it gets in your eyes it doesn't hurt.

No it certainly isn't and is rather call in sick rather than having to drive in dark roads in ice. But I'll be sure to go extra slow.

Even when we drive safely it's the other drivers we have to watch out for.

Last night started dry. It didn't start raining until this morning. Hopefully people will stay home mostly today and off the roads.

We have a drought too because we've not had as much snow as needed for the warmer months. The rain we got didn't do much good since the ground is frozen. So, the rain runs right off.
Sorry you don't get enough rain there. There are states here in the same predicament in the warmer months.

@nela13 I think that's probably correct to while other areas will continue to see flooding and other natural catastrophes.

If you get frigid cold there will that mainly only last a week or so more? It should get warmer here in March, a little anyway but we still get snow storms.

@porwest we get a little snow yet in April and maybe one last snow storm but by the end of the month it starts getting better. March to April we may see the earlier spring flowers even if snows still on the ground. By may the trees begin to bud.

@Faster16 I do enjoy looking at the sky both at night and the daytime at the clouds, but at night it's too cold to view the night sky for very long.

We have that too but when it's clear in the winter here is really cold and I don't take time to enjoy the stars until the weather gets warm again.

Rock salt for the walkways and driveway works great. It's much better than falling!

We're bought salt a few days ago but it's almost gone again and the stores are out.
