How MyLot can make me an extra $8.00 or so if I don't write here right now.

My schedule at Guitar Center is pretty fluid. I have two more lessons to teach this evening. I am going to make it through my most difficult day, which is Wednesday. If I blow off MyLot and go to guitar Center a bit early, I will make an extra $8.00 or so, even if I don't have a student until 7 PM. I love writing on MyLot, but I also enjoy charting guitar and piano pieces for my students. The difference is only a few dollars, but I want to please a new middle-aged piano student (see my "nemesis" post) who wants to play rock tunes. Which would you choose?

I am sure you could still sneak in a bit of mylot posts as you do 8$ an hour.

@TheHorse Well you do enjoy teaching the guitar no? I mean if you're happy with what you do it does not matter so much?

I think $8/hour is below "minimum wage" here. You could work at McDonalds and make more than that.

@flapiz I enjoy teaching music. The fact that I make only $35/hour for my lessons does not bother me. I would do it for free if I were not worried about outliving my savings.

I'd probably go with the music too. But how will you get money if you don't actually have a student?

@JudyEv It's OK with me. As you know, I sell a lot of guitars. So it's good for Corporate.

We get paid when we don't have a student. Just not as much.

If I stay away from myLot and do some "real work" I can earn more! But then that requires more effort and gives less freedom.

I think myLot is therapeutic. The benefit if measured in monetary terms, would be much more than Pony's 8 dollars.

I agree. He is so illogical. If he just buys a cell phone, he could sit on commode and myLot. He would not be aware of the perfume there.

If you enjoy teaching, then go for it. You can always continue mylotting after.

He likes both, but is unable to decide which one he likes more than the other. 8 dollars helps to tilt the balance.

8 dollars. Kinda, I could fulfill my commitment of 10 dollar meal to a couple of Indians, I would just need to insert 2 dollars. Right? LOL

What does a decent Indian meal cost in India? Here it would be about $15, plus tip.

You are meeting this student in real life? Then the choice would be very easy for me. I like some online social interaction, but offline is better most of the time.

Why is it that we Indians are always smarter and wiser than Americans? We must get American head tissue examined. I think there will be too many air bubbles in there.

The smart phone becomes "not smart" when Pony touches it...he is scared he would end up talking to one girlfriend after another and even burn his meals...if he gets a smart phone.
