What do you think squirrel do in your garden?

Hello! Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters I woke up very early today 5am but tried to sleep again then woke up at 7am. I feel great and made nice breakfast for my husband bacon and egg with toasted bread. I only had my choco cappuccino today. After, we went out for a nice walk and then went out to do some gardening and surprisingly found this little guy squirrel in my garden. I am wondering what squirrel do in the garden when I don`t have any other food plants there. What do you think squirrel do in your garden? What a cute little squirrel. A ground squirrel lives under my porch but she is so fast I only get a glimpse of her.

I guess it's just fossicking for food, maybe looking for seeds or digging for roots. We don't have squirrels here.

My photo of a squirrel in my yard
Can you see the squirrel on the bird feeder? My 96-year-old upstairs neighbor has proudly told me more than once that her son buys the birdseed squirrels do not like. But it seems this little fellow has acquired quite a taste for it. He hung out on that feeder, eating that seed for quite a while.

@m_audrey6788 If you can enlarge the photo, you should be able to see the squirrel. Regardless, this little guy is not hurting for food. There is ample squirrel food all around in nature, and wherever there is a friendly human. Many people buy nuts to leave out for squirrels who live in or frequently visit their yards.

we dont have squirrel in here. but as I see in some youtube videos. Squirrel have an instinct to go to gardens as they have a chance to get food from the owner. or just get chased by the dog. and there is more chance that the owner will give food that is why. I dont know, cuz I dont see it in person. just in youtube videos

He may be burying nuts for next winter or digging up nuts he has hidden there before. He likes the roots of plants that have bulbs, too.

In summer their looking to take one bite out my tomato plants! In winter, their burying nuts in there. Maybe your squirrels were looking for seeds or they forgot they left nuts there. Or their tricking other food thieves by pretending to stash food there. Many mysteries there huh...

Thank you I also don`t see them most of the time. It just so happened that this squirrel is doing something in our small garden and I have my camera with me
