If you don’t like a song do you still sing along?

My husband heard me singing when he was playing Fleetwood Mac.
About an hour later he was looking for something else to play and I said oh great you and your awful music.
He said you liked it you were signing along to it.
I said it doesn’t mean I like it. I just sing when I hear a song I recognize.
This confuses my son all the time too.
Do you sing only if you like a song? I sing song all the time even that I hate but are stuck in my head.

@CarolDM I only like their song Lanslide. Most musical artists I feel the same way about.
I love going to the thrift store where she works to see what’s new. I hadn’t been there in 6 weeks as I kept the baby out of the public while she was healing after her surgery. I just got to go back yesterday and bought a onesie for the baby. Today they had a flash sale where books were half off. I got 30 books for 5.36. All for the baby except one for me and one for my oldest daughter.

@Daddyevil that’s funny about you doing it to annoy pretty. I can say it was and is sooo annoying listening to my mother sing. She sings a lot and is the worlds worst singer.

@shaggin When it's 100F outside, I sing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer just to hear her start telling me it's too hot for that song.
Pretty recorded me singing in my sleep, so no matter how much I deny it, there is proof otherwise.

@aninditasen maybe your just out of practice.
I don’t even play music I do like. I prefer the quiet but if I walk in a store and music is playing I’ll sing along if I know the song even if I don’t like it.

@aninditasen I am a terrible singer so I’m sure all the ones around me wish I didn’t sing. But the point of my post was if you know a song and don’t like it but hear it playing do you still sing along?

That thing with a doll’s head on it is proper creepy! 
I sing along to anything, even if I don’t like it, or even know the right lyrics.

@Orson_Kart I can’t listen to the video right now but hopefully I’ll remember to later. The baby just fell asleep in my arms and has had me up since 4am so I definitely do not want to wake her.
The doll is creepy but neat I thought. I was actually surprised to see this in the shop for a decoration as it doesn’t seem to fit with the other things I don’t think.
Sounds like me I sing to anything as well.

@Orson_Kart my daughter said that creepy doll was made for a Halloween decoration there. One woman who shops there often hates it and turns the dolls head backwards.

@rebelann my husband sorted through an old shed here. He threw out a whole bucket of insulators I collected years ago. I was upset because I would have preferred to put them out for free. They are worth money and someone could have taken them and sold them. Also the thrift store where my daughter works may have liked to use some of them as decoration in their shop.

@RebeccasFarm that is so funny you will sing a song you don’t like if you are angry.
It is creepy but neat. I think I’d have preferred a pretty doll with arms and legs and a body pins like that more.

@RebeccasFarm my daughter told me that a coworker made this button doll decoration as a Halloween decoration. I didn’t put two and two together when I saw they had put other decorations out because this is so very different from all the pretty pumpkin things.

@Judyev my daughter told me that a coworker made this button doll as a Halloween Decoration. It makes sense as it is very creepy so it definitely fits with Halloween. It doesn’t really fit with any of the other pretty Halloween decorations they have out though.

I hardly ever sing to songs, believe it or not, especially considering I am a "musician" of sorts. But I HAVE played songs I did not like necessarily. It is funny to me that often songs I genuinely dislike to the core tend to be the ones that get stuck in my head. lol
As for Fleetwood Mac, I could never dislike their stuff. Great band.

@snowy22315 no one here has agreed with me on doing this so I must be really weird . I was debating on sharing this here or at FaceBook to get the most opinions. I probably would have gotten a lot more on Facebook but wouldn’t heard earned anything from it.
My husband bought one of their greatest hits albums on whatever it is he plays music on his phone. I only like one song and have never been a fan of listening to an entire album. I like to jump around to different artists.
