Chocolate? Yes or No!

Chocolate is made from roasted and ground cacao seed kernels. The seeds must be fermented to get rid of their naturally bitter taste. The seeds are then dried, cleaned and roasted. There is evidence of cocoa beverages dating back to 1900 B.C. In 1847 a discovery was made by Joseph Fry, an English chocolatier, to make chocolate moldable. Fry's of Bristol began mass-producing chocolate bars. In the late 1800s and early 1900s Nestle, Rowntree's, Cadbury and Hershey came on the scene. Founded in 1765, the Baker Chocolate Company is the oldest producer of chocolate in the United States. White chocolate was introduced in the U.S. in 1946. It contains no nonfat cocoa solids and is a mixture of cocoa butter, milk solids and carbohydrate sweeteners. I prefer milk chocolate to dark chocolate; and I also like white chocolate. How about you? Do you like chocolate? What is your favorite kind? Photo Credit: Pixabay

I am not much of a chocolate lover to be perfectly honest with you. I like a tiny nibble here or there but have no real preference of dark or milk.

Yes, to chocolate! I like and eat all three types of chocolate but prefer milk chocolate, then dark chocolate and finally, white chocolate. (Pretty won't eat dark chocolate so all of those in a box of chocolates are mine! As are any chocolates with nuts in them. ))

I love chocolates. I prefer milk chocolate followed by white chocolate. Dark chocolate comes last in the list. I like them with nuts in it. But being a diabetic, I have to watch out

@LindaOHio Dark chocolate is okay for diabetics but then I am not very fond of it. A small bite of dark chocolate is okay but I can not think of indulging in it. Some even advocate that dark chocolate has health benefits for diabetics.

Like DE, I like milk chocolate best, then dark then white. I also love Lindt chocolates. If there is chocolate in the fridge, then I mostly keep eating it till it's all gone.

Oh yes ma'am. But not as much as years ago. I was sort of addicted I suppose at one time. Always had it around. Now it is a treat. Dark is my favorite now. I still enjoy the others.

Yes! I like all three kinds you mention, but MY favorite is Dark Chocolate. Not exactly because it tastes better or worse (I could tell the difference if I really wanted to, but they usually taste pretty-much the same to me). I like it because it's the healthiest ... maybe not as heathy as Baker's Chocolate (which I've heard tastes bland like flour). Dark Chocolate is my favorite vegetable!

Chocolate for me, please. I have learned a very bad thing. When we eat food at our local diners and I say, Can you bring me a glass of chocolate milk?? Often the waitress will go find real chocolate syrup and dump some into a glass of plain milk. Not a mix. But syrup. Spoiled me for sure.

I like bittersweet chocolate that doesn't have milk in it. I like the bitter taste and then I don't have to eat that much at at time, the taste stays on my tongue longer.
