That lil Tuffy is living up to his name Can you tell what he's doing to Roscoe? My poor pup is being harassed mercilessly by that wee kitten who insists upon biting the daylights out of his throat while pinned under face. And as for me I am constantly being awakened in the middle of the night because Tuffy wants to play. Soon this won't be funny anymore.

Yes, you're right. He and I have gone round about his biting and hopefully he's going to stop biting me. Puppies and kittens just love to sink their teeth into flesh.

I have taught my previous kittens not to bite but the last time I had to do that was 16 years ago.

Tuffy can not hurt him yet so he simply puts up with him trying. Roscoe has enough fur to keep Tuffy from sinking his teeth in too far

Well, Roscoe is still at least 6 times larger than Tuffy and he has a thick fur coat so I doubt Tuffy could actually hurt him

I don't think Tuffy will be able to actually bite Roscoe, he has way too much fur .... of course if Tuffy accidentally bites him in the tender spot on his belly that lil rascal will learn really quick not to bite.

Thank you. Actually Tuffy was trying to bite into Roscoes neck but he has a thick mane there and Tuffy's little teeth can't get through .... for now that is.

I thought Roscoe was trying to eat him, lol. Found this interesting factoid online about kitten biting. Kittens develop good manners through interaction with other kittens and their mother; other cats won't put up with being hurt. Too often kittens go to new homes before they've learned these important lessons and their owners need to teach them. Kittens don't know that teeth and claws hurt unless you explain it in kitty language the way a mother would. Here's the article link: hope it works

Yes, it's very important to teach them early and Tuffy has found out I won't put up with biting or claws and has begun to use softer methods ...... however being licked isn't fun either but at least it doesn't hurt, it's just weird.
