Bloody Nose and Christmas Music

I've been watching Christmas movies since late October. It's just fitting I start listening to Christmas music a week before Thanksgiving. I asked Alexa to play Christian Christmas music. It's been wonderful listening to it and spending time here with you.
What hasn't been fun is the bloody nose I've had since early morning. Not constant, but annoying. I'm on Eliquis, a blood thinner to prevent clots, which I have a history of. When I took Xarelto I had a bloody nose every day. This is the first time since I started on Eliquis that I've had a bloody nose. I hope it will be the last time.
I replaced the batteries on my bp cuff and took my blood pressure. It's normal. So, nothing to worry about there. I'm hoping this is a fluke and nothing to really worry about.
In the meantime, I'm enjoying Christmas music. But only for a few more minutes. I need to get to the community room for Canasta soon.

If you keep having a bloody nose, even off and on, please call your doctor and let them know.
I take a baby aspirin every morning and have been getting a nosebleed or two every week since we started running the heat in the house. The nosebleeds don't last long but they are annoying.

@just4him I understand. I was in the shower this morning when a nosebleed started... Nothing to do but stand there an wait for it to finish. *shrug*

I was surprised when I was flipping through radio stations in my truck yesterday that I came across a station that is already playing Christmas music 24/7. Apparently, they started right after Veteran's Day. I wonder why they started so early instead of waiting until Thanksgiving like a lot of stations do?
I shouldn't complain too much though, I am going tonight to see Mannheim Steamroller Presents Christmas in concert tonight, so I'm getting an early jump on my Christmas season.

@just4him It was a wonderful concert, much better than I anticipated. And the day before we had a cold front come through, so it was nice and cold (by Florida standards), so between the cold and the Christmas concert, it really got me in the holiday spirit.

@just4him Do you use a humidifier when you have the heat on? If not I recommend an ultrasonic humidifier. You can get one pretty cheaply on Amazon for your bedroom. They are pretty much silent. You can move it into the room you work in during the day to add moisture to the air.

I don't usually get them, and no not on blood thinners. My Grandma is on the one you are on and she gets bloody noses, but she is also on oxygen 24/7 so she thinks it is because of that.
I like to start Christmas movies middle to late November at the earliest. I have watched one or two so far.

@just4him Me too, had a few when I was younger so I know they are no fun.

Sorry you're dealing with the bloody noses.
That makes sense. We usually wait till December for the classics (well what we consider classic lol)

The bloody nose seems to be the side effects of Eliquis.Here many take Aspirin Enteric-coated Tablets to prevent clots .

I get an occasional bloody nose but Im not on blood thinners. I think it happens when my nasal passages get too dry from the heat in the house. Hope your bloody nose doesn't last too long.

Canasta was lots of fun.
I'm sorry you get them too. It's nice to know what causes them. I don't run the heat at night, so I don't think it's heat related. Though it could be dry in here.

@just4him it's very possible your place is dry and you aren't aware. Do you have a lot of static cling or do you get a shock when you tough a door knob? That's usually my clue the house is dry.
I love For King and Country besides Christmas music but drummer boy is awesome with the whole drum thing.

No, I'm not of blood thinners but Jay is. He is prone to get blood clots, had two surgically removed from his lungs. Myself, no I don't get blood clots. My BP is fairly good, at this time.

You poor thing, have you checked with your doctor about it? Glad blood pressure is ok. Not prone to bloody noses. Just the occasional to hard cleaning it, blood. I used to watch Dr. Oz, one episode of occasionally blood from cleaning up he said to press above the lips area and it should stop quickly and it does happen. Hope bloody nose issue resolved safely and quickly.

I've not started on the Christmas music yet but I think I might do soon!
I used to be prone to spontaneous bloody noses as a child. Never sure why but it would often happen if there was a sudden and noticeable change in air pressure/weather. I guess it could be related to anaemia. I've never taken anything specifically for the nose bleeds, just iron and B12 for the anaemia. I've not had so many nose bleeds as an adult but I have had the odd random one.

I sure hope you nose is OK now, Christmas movies are great to watch, You know I have never gotten a bloody nose in my life,

Sorry that you had to deal with a bloody nose. Only had a couple in my lifetime, once got hit by a ball in gym class, and the other time during a car accident. Hope you don't get any more.

Wow, what a title! I love Christmas music. I hate bloody noses. I hardly ever get them but kids in class sometimes do, especially when the weather is dry.
