I bought a pair of Slip Ins from Skechers for myself.

It is difficult for me to buy shoes. I have always have had picky feet but now that I´m older it is worse.
I would like to be able to buy a nice pair of shoes that can be used for a party (I don´t go to parties) but there are no shoes.
I discovered at Skechers those "Memory Foam" knickers and I guess that, just like youngsters, I will have to go to a ball with a sort of wedding dress and tennis shoes
I still need a pair of sandals but I haven´t found anyone I can wear. And, mind you, I´m not thinking about the price. Any pair of shoes that I buy now will last me for the rest of my life. So I don´t mind if the are expensive.
This post is really something to laugh about. I just spent time and money buying those Slip Ins online and I am not sure if I will be walking next month. I´ll imagine that this is like buying a lottery ticket. Let´s hope it will work.

Good luck with the shoes... I believe your knees are gradually getting better. At least, I hope that's true.
When I find shoes/sandals that are comfortable for me, I buy several pair and just put the extra ones in my closet until they're needed. I haven't bought new sandals or tennis shoes in over five years.

Shoes last me ages. And my feet hurt even when I´m in bed. So I deserve good shoes.

@marguicha They last me for years as long as I'm not constantly putting more than 7 miles/11.2 km on them every day like I did while working at Walmart. (Even so, a pair of shoes lasted about a year there. I always had two pair of shoes exactly alike so I wasn't wearing the same pair every day... I didn't want my feet to have an odor.)

@DaddyEvil If my feet could walk that much I would not care about buying shoes often.

Since I have MS, it truly is hard to find shoes I can wear comfortably. If you want leather, look in to the Born brand shoe. Originally from Germany. They are not cheap but are always a very good quality of leather and the support the give is so, so good. I haven't been able to wear anything else for years. Then, last summer my daughter wanted to get me some new shoes for every day, and it ended up I tried on Skechers and fell absolutely in love with them. I have 2 pair, navy and black. They slip off and on easily and they have great support.
Sending a picture as I think mine are very similar to yours. The other pair I got have laces, but you don't tie the laces, they are just stretchy, and you slide them off and on as well.

I bought my first pair of Sketchers around 3 years ago and I also fell absolutly in love with them. I have 2 pairs but they don´t look like new any longer, of course. I only take them off to go to sleep
I think that what you are describing must be the shoes I just bought. I would not spend my time now looking at Nikes or Puma. But maybe I could look at the German shoes if they have shoes that you can wear to more elegant activities. I have a formal dress and formal pants but don´t see me wearing them with the Skechers

@MarieCoyle The next time I´ll look for dark soles. My old ones, dark blue, have dark soles. This one I have in the picture is not the color I bought. The new one will be gray so the white soles won´t matter.

When we shopped and I looked at the Sketchers, I had a hard time finding a pair with darker soles--I didn't want the white on there, I knew I would scuff it all up in no time. I think they are beyond comfortable..

@Tina30219 The shoes are called Slip-Ins. You don´t need to use your fingers or a shoehorn to put your feet into the shoes. They virtually slide in

@marguicha When you say slip ins is it like something you put inside your shoes for better support or are we talking about slip on shoes

The doctor forbid me to use high heeled shoes after the back surgery. Then I bought a beautiful pair of very expensive and comfortable shoes of rather small heels that the second burglars stole along with my leather boots and other expensive shoes I had. After that I never found shoes that were both beautiful and comfortable I

@LadyDuck That theft was terrible as many things had a great emotional value for me. I did not mind the laptop, cellphone and the like. But they stole the gold ring that my husband gave me when we got married. It wasn´t very expensive but it had a big value for me.

@marguicha I am so sorry, I know how we feel when the things we like are stolen. We also had our apartment burgled soon after we were married. They stole a lot of things that were brand new.

@JudyEv I have always looked for comfortable shoes. The skin of my feet is delicate and they now hurt when I walk. Look for shoes that say "Memory foam". The sole adapts perfectly at YOUR feet.
They are worth everty cent. And they have mid numbers

I had to give away a lot of beautiful shoes that I had before my feet, legs and knees were destroyed first by chemotherapy and then by old age.

These Slip-Ins are like sneakers. They already arrived, I used them and theyare wonderful. And they can even be washed in the washing machine. Another job for Juanita, my faithful washing machine.

I thought like that until I started buying Skechers. I bought 3 pairs , all the same size and all fit perfectly well until I finally dared buy one online. The shops did not have what I wanted. These shoes are a lot more expensive. There were over US $70. And now I can only wear that brand. I can send them back if they don´t fit so I was worried. But they are incredible.

@marguicha So long as they work for you and you like them, and know what to expect, I call that a perfect, winning situation.

I have exactly the same pair with same colour. It's from Sketchers. I have been using it for almost two years for my walks and other regular uses.. It's very comfortable and durable too. I bet that it's worth every single penny.

@arunima25 If you have a glass slipper (or a Skechers) maybe the Prince will come
I don´t give up hope.

@marguicha Thanks for the suggestion! Since I want to find shoes that are not heavy to use to jog or run.

I bought some expensive orthotic inserts years ago that really helped my knees. I wear them in almost all of my shoes.I still use them, but as you describe your feet as feeling delicate or tender they might not be good for you. A US company that makes shoes for diabetics with several sets of insoles to change makes some dressier shoes. It is called Dr. Comfort, but you may have to go through a foot doctor to order them, as they take a mold of your foot.

I will first go to see if a shop where my mom bought her shoes is still there and if the shoes they have suit me. Those shoes were expensive but not as expensive as the shoes that are made specially for each person.

I hope the shoes work out for you. I also have trouble finding a pair of shoes that is comfortable and good for my feet. I wear flip flops around the house 365/24/7.

I wear flip flops all summer. But I can´t do that during winter. In winter I wear thick socks with special soles so that I will not slide and end up on the floor.
