Hub's doctor's appointment went OK. It was just a routine visit. Heavy rain coming again today. I wish we could just get the yard dug up so we don't have to worry about flooding. Nothing much going on. Still planning on going to Red Lobster tomorrow. Have a great Friday!!!
18 days until spring!!!
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Pork loin, sweet potatoes, broccoli and apricots
Dessert/Snack - Cinnamon roll and decaf coffee
Dinner - Fish sandwich and fries from Arby's...Hubs and I got into a little tiff because the last sandwich that I would order ANYWHERE would be a fish sandwich. He claims that I said I like fish...Sigh.
What did you eat yesterday?

@LindaOHio Mine was given to me from an aunt who had it at her place where it grew for 50 years, and then it was transplanted and then moved to our place and I took a couple of pieces off of it and rooted it to give to a couple of close friends who asked for it. They had success growing them in their gardens also.
They do die back in the winter, but come back to life just as beautiful as ever in the spring.

@Juliaacv That's very cool. I had no idea that they lasted that long.

It is storming again here and the ditch at the end of the yard is 3/4 full. When that happens, our toilet doesn't like to flush right. Plunging it doesn't help. We just have to be careful about using it. We have puddles in lower areas in our yard.
Eww! You actually ate the fish sandwich?
I'm sorry that happened.
I hope your day goes well.

@LindaOHio The yard has drained, thank you. But it started raining again today...

With a lot of tartar sauce it wasn't bad. I hope your yard doesn't flood anymore.

@DaddyEvil I never really ate fish until we started getting it with Meals on Wheels. If it's breaded, deep fried and there's enough tartar sauce, it's not bad.

That would be such fun to meet you. Nope. Hubs wants to wait until the yard dries out; BUT spring is just around the corner with heavy rains which makes me very nervous.

@LindaOHio Thank you. One (30 foot) tree on the ground. That can be replaced.

Yesterday was a rerun of Wednesday, chicken taco salad (although that one was free because I’d filled up my “frequent lunch card” at Chuy’s, go figure
) and the Jimmy Dean egg white/turkey sausage burrito for dinner.

I love seeing that 18 days til spring
Hope you get to Red Lobster tomorrow. Looks like we're getting a wintry mix later today and overnight.
Last night we had pork chops with sauerkraut and boiled red potatoes.

Glad to hear, even if just a routine visit, all went well. Whenever I go to Arby's I always get the roast beef sandwiches. Slap a little Horsey sauce on them and voila! It's all I will eat there.
For dinner I made braised pork seasoned with a little garlic and onion powder and curry powder and braised them in Sunny D. Yep, you heard me right. lol. On the side we had a salad and baked beans.
