Will you empty the pockets before you turn on the washing machine?

I check because my husband forgets to empty his pockets. When he forgets tissues, they make a mess in the washing machine.

One time, I left a coin in the pocket of my jacket and it ended up that I had to call someone to fix the machine. Now, I always try to remember checking the pockets before putting clothes in the washing machine.

I don't check.. Not my fault if there is still money in their pocket.. Your pocket, your responsibility

You are way nicer then me. I don't check anyone pockets. Yep everyone knows in my house. I do the laundry I'm not going to check them. If you don't check them yourself before putting them in the laundry basked mommy isn't going to spending the time to turn out every pocket. It gets washed. I have washed candy, legos, army men, pens, needles my husband is a nurse. A lot of empty food wrappers. Medical gloves. One time my husband pocketknife.

It becomes my habit already. So yes, I empty out and check them before putting it in the washing machine. I was once like @LadyDuck having mess with the tissues, so when I making a habit of checking the pockets before washing, now no more problem.

I have washed one of mine once a long time ago so now I check pockets before I wash. What is worse is when there is tissue in a pocket, that makes such a mess.
