I need a new mouse, I think. And that is about all I can afford right now. The reason I say a new mouse is that this is the cheapo one that came with my refurbished computer last year. For a while yesterday I did not have a pointer, and when I did, it sometimes did not move. Cord on it is rather flimsy, as it was on the cheapo keyboard. When it quit I had one on hand to replace it with. I do not look to be getting out to a larger town until the weekend, so I hope I can drag on until then. Meanwhile, if you do not see me, blame it on the mouse.

Does your mouse use a battery? If it does, check and see if it needs to be replaced.

I hope you can get a mouse you can rely on. I had a mouse I bought online and I continually recharged the batteries. Still the mouse did not last long, So now I have a mouse attached to my PC and it works just fine,

Anytime my mouse gives out I buy a new Logitech mouse. Runs me around $10; and they are very long-lasting and reliable. Hope you have a new mouse by now.

I have had logitech and they are very affordable. In this case I ordered online so I did not have to go out of town. I paid less than $7 for an Amazon Basic mouse. It is corded.

Maybe you can find one on Walmart.com which they would deliver to you ..... of course to avoid shipping and handling you'd have to buy at least $35 of goods. I usually buy from them when I also need either soup or pet supplies/food.

Sometimes it's better to spend more to get more I just spent more than I'd like on a new laptop and initially had problems now it's amazing and will last me at least 5 years or so probably longer. When you buy cheaper things, as I have, it's often false economy as you have to replace them sooner.

I certainly agree with that. I want a new laptop, but it will be some time before I have the money for it.

Yes, a computer mouse, not a rodent. I do not seem to have those, thank goodness.

Just unplug and then plug it in. I am very sure it will function properly.
