Happy Thursday Everyone. We have morning sunshine with possible showers at some point. The lawn crew is here so I'm listening to the sound of the mowers while I enjoy my coffee and have my breakfast.
When we did our grocery shopping last week I bought a container of cottage cheese. I haven't had cottage cheese in quite awhile and thought it would be a good a change for my breakfasts. I also bought a can of peaches and it makes a nice combination.
I still had half the container left and since I didn't want to waste it, I had it for my breakfast. Was I thrilled? Nope
What seemed like a good idea turned out to be something I'm not really very fond of but I ate it anyway since I hate to waste food.
Do you like cottage cheese?
Tomorrow I'll be back to my good old whole wheat toast with either peanut butter or cream cheese.

That's how I feel about cottage cheese. I don't dislike it but I'm not exactly fond of it either

@LadyDuck I won't be getting any more until I forget I'm not crazy about it and buy it again

I don`t eat cottage cheese if I will not match it with some meat or salad
I avoid buying food that I don`t like not unless someone gave it to me. If I don`t like the taste I will share it to my friends who might like it but I can`t force myself to eat it

I wouldn't force myself to eat something I totally dislike. Cottage cheese is just something I'll eat but it doesn't make my meal exciting.

I like yogurt much more than cottage cheese. Try it with apple butter it is really good that way. Cottage cheese makes a better side though with a meal I think, although I rarely buy it myself. I meant the cottage cheese is better with apple butter. I think I remember suggesting this to you before lol.

I never would have considered having apple butter with cottage cheese, Usually I have it with some sort of canned fruit or a sprinkle of cinnamon. I also prefer yogurt

I don't generally like cottage cheese by itself, but I do use it in some dishes. But the long and short is YES. I always make use of things and there are always ways to doctor things up and make them more palatable. I just can't throw food away.

Cottage cheese is good for cooking but maybe I'm just tired of it and won't buy it for awhile.
You're right about being able to doctor stuff up to make it more palatable.

I’m iffy on cottage cheese. I go years without it. Not something I like to eat often. The texture is hard to get paste.
I eat things all the time that I don’t like just to not waste leftovers. My husband and stepson drive me buts how much food they waste. I can’t eat the meat so they winds up going to the beagles outside but I hate that. Meat is so expensive they should be sure to eat it up.
My husband cut up peppers yesterday three of them and used so little of them I was appalled. I cut off what I would use and wound up with an entire bowl full. I used half of it in a salad and tonight I’m putting them in burritos. I’m glad I picked them out of the compost bowl he had tossed them in. They are expensive and delicious. I had snapped a photo to show you after having seen the title of this post earlier and forgot to come back last night to show you.

I haven't bought that in a very long time, I don't know if I'd want any anyway. I'm trying to remember what it tasted like.

I hate cottage cheese. I do not like to waste food and often have something I'm not fond of, especially with Meals on Wheels. I will not eat their beets or raw onions though.

I have not had cottage cheese in a long time but used to have it with apple sauce when I did. Not a big fan of it.
When I buy something to try out for the first time, I hate to throw it out if it's not as good as I thought it would be. I'll make an effort to eat some, otherwise I feel like I'm throwing money away.

I do not like cottage cheese on its own.
I do use it in lasagna, in fact I made some lasagna just this week with some.
Its a sunny and nice day here too, and as there is rain in our forecast I can hear some lawnmowers in the distance.
Everyone is trying to get the grass trimmed before it gets soaked.

I like Hiland large curd cottage cheese. I don't care for other brands or small curds. The Hiland brand is a little more expensive so Pretty tries to buy the cheaper brands and tells me they taste the same... No, they don't and since she won't eat cottage cheese, the other brands get thrown away. I will NOT eat something I don't like... I don't care if it's wasting food. If someone wants it, I'd happily give it to them.

I often eat stuff I don't particularly like rather than have it go to waste. I read somewhere that you shouldn't treat your body like a rubbish bin as in eating stuff you don't like or don't really want but I find it hard to break the habit.
