Fad or Fashion?

Here comes another one everyone! As you know, I keep my eyes open for the latest "fashion" trends, bizarre though they might be.
It seems like what the world will try never seems to end. The latest is called a skullet mullet. Most of the head is shaved or cut very short; and the bottom of the hair is allowed to grow into a mullet.
So what do you think about this one? Fad, fashion or a total miss?

Why would anyone think that looks good?
I do miss my mullet, though. Having a head full of really long hair can be a pain in the tush. Even putting it into a low ponytail doesn't stop the hair from blowing into my face when I'm working outside.

My husband let his hair grow too long. I don't care for it.

@LindaOHio Dale is almost bald anyway, so I shaved his whole head and he actually looks younger.

I wear my hair long and it is very annoying when it gets in my face.

I will take the skullet mullet as a trend over the current trends dealing with Bud Light, North Face and Target.

@LindaOHio You are welcome since a haircut is not that offensive to me.

It looks even worse when the head is shaved.

This doesn't look good at all. This should definitely not be a trend.

Mostly I call it stupidity, I mean if you have hair enjoy it as a guy you might lose it one day,

So, I take it he got this haircut on purpose. I guess it depends on how many do it and do not do it. There are those that are bald naturally on top and have hair around them like the guy in the picture. Who knows what people will like. To me it is not my cup of tea.

That is nice that we are in agreement on this subject.

I don't understand a lot of hairstyles and such. I also really, really dislike the eyebrows that are now popular--they look like someone painted them on their skin with a magic marker. Ugly, ugly. Make up is fine if done subtley, I am not fond of extreme looks. The natural look is what this old hippie girl prefers.

I totally understand. I was a Carnaby Street girl. I liked the London fashion and makeup. Also wore a lot of bell bottoms.

@MarieCoyle I have naturally curly hair. Tried to get it straightened...that didn't work...tried to iron it...that didn't work. lololol

Yes, we all did the long hair thing, bell bottoms, etc. It was a different time, for sure.

I think that hair style is tacky.

This is the longest hubby has let his hair get. He never gets around to getting it cut.

Many people in India shave their head every day so that the bald head fashion can continue

I do not like the look of that, I prefer the other way round when the hair underneath is short with the top hair being longer. I think it is what they call an `undercut'. I never did like the fashion for Mullets.

I've never heard of an undercut. I'll have to keep my eyes open for a picture.
