6/9/23 - Meals and Update

Hubs went outside to water yesterday; and I was sitting by the window, watching him. I wanted to make sure he wasn't overdoing it. All of a sudden I see him stepping up onto the stone wall that surrounds our flower bed. In my head, I'm yelling "Nooooooooo! It's too high!!!" BAM He falls, hits his head on the car and lands on his bad wrist. Don't worry. He's OK. His wrist does hurt. My heart stopped, though, when I saw him fall. Men!
Breakfast - Oat biscuits
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Ham, raw scalloped potatoes (yuck!), beets (double yuck!), roll and apricots
Dessert/Snack - Donut and decaf coffee
Dinner - The rest of my DQ chicken tenders and fries
What did you eat yesterday?

Oh dear, that would have given me a heart attack if I saw him fall. I am glad he is not seriously injured though.

It was so ridiculous for him to think that he could do that. It was much too high. He's not 20 anymore.

It seems men always have the phrase "I think I can" on their minds then when they fall or whatever they make up excuses why it wasn't their own fault. Sometimes it's better to use the phrase "Check the parameter's before attempt"
Mom was like that too so women can also be like that too.

All I could think of was that he broke a hip. Thank goodness he just hurt his wrist.

I didn't know that bottle walls existed anywhere else! Interesting. I doubt hubby will try that stunt again. Enjoy your day!

I don't know. It made no sense to me. He could reach all the plants with the hose from where he was! All I could think of was that he broke a hip. I was so glad it just hurt his wrist.

Yesterday was a chicken taco salad for lunch, and some BBQ chicken and nuked potato for dinner.

He wasn't using his head when he tried to get up on that wall. He's not 20 anymore; and it was much too high. I love Chinese. Have a good weekend.

That sounds scary, and sorry that he hurt his wrist but glad he's okay otherwise.
Your dinner sounds good. We got DQ today, I got the BBQ sauced and tossed chicken

Oh, my. Maybe you need some help before he falls really bad. I know as we age it's easy to break a bone, snap a wrist, etc. And a long time to heal. My aunt broke her wrist from a fall 2 years ago. Had to have a pin put in as it shattered the bone. It's still not right, very weak. Be careful, put a leash on that guy!

Ouch, that sounds terrible. His cousin (our housekeeper) has been watering; and she will be pulling weeds for us; but hubby said he felt better and would do the watering. Why he had to step up on the wall I will never know! He could have broken a hip!

I think your hubby might end up inadvertently give you a heart attack someday! I'm so glad he is okay.
I got a chuckle at your "yuck" in reference to the raw, scalloped potatoes. I have to say, with scalloped potatoes it's hit or miss for me; there is never an in between.
Yesterday, I think I had sauteed shrimp with a little sprinkle of a spice mix, which made it tangy.

@LindaOHio That was kind of a miracle. Falls like that are usually so serious, and lord knows he's suffered enough.

All I could think of when I saw him fall was that he broke his hip. Thankfully he just hurt his bad wrist. He has his brace on today. Meals on Wheels food is so-so. Their scalloped potatoes are NEVER cooked! Enjoy your Sunday!

@AmbiePam It was definitely a miracle that he didn't break something. He's 7 years older than I am and is not a spring chicken anymore!!!
