Lentils are for cold weather.

Yesterday I put in water to soak all the lentils I had. They were more than what I would need but there was no point in using twice as much gas.
I asked Anita to dice an onion and while the lentils were cooking in the pressure cooker (10 minutes) I caramelized the onion with garlic and a rest of ham I had.
The lentils were almost perfect. I don´t have merken (smoked chile) which for me is a must with lentils. I lost my merken in the fire and I have forgotten to buy more.
Anita was not interested in eating the rest of the escalivada so I´ll finish it tonight for diiner.
It is very cold but Anita is pampering me. She sent me to bed with hot water bottles and here I am, mylotting.
Tomorrow, Anita´s brother will come to continue with the kitchen work. I have lentils left so I can invite him for lunch even if he is using the kitchen.
I think that now I´ll take a nap for a while. See you later

That sounds pretty much the way that we have the Lentils(Daal)here.

Lentils should be taken hot in cold weather. I put vegetables in lentils but never meat.

I've always been curious about lentils. I know that they're nutritious and good as soup. Good to know you're keeping warm despite the cold.
