The end of a marvellous evening

This is probably the last set of photos from the Lightscape installation that we visited recently. As we neared the end of the walkway, we passed under this beautiful archway.
The top photo shows it from a short distance away and the lower photo shows it in more detail.
It was a very fitting conclusion to the evening.

That is beautiful.
Years ago, Silver Dollar City had a tunnel inside a manmade cave that looked like that.

@JudyEv Oh, yes, I agree. The inside of the manmade cave was mirrored so it looked like the fairy lights went on forever in every direction. I wish I'd taken a picture to share with you.

@DaddyEvil One of the Austrian castles had a 'mirror room' which had the same effect. It seemed to go on forever.

Somewhere so they can use them for Christmas. In Monte Carlo they stored all those lights inside a tunnel under the Rock on which top there was the Palace of the Prince.

We went to a Garden Exhibition in Dublin once but the night displays are more spectacular I think.

As good as photos are, it's not the same as being there. Landscapes in particular lose a lot I think.
