I don't want to complain; but that knee that most likely needs to be replaced is giving me excruciating pain. I can hardly take a few steps. Breakfast - None Lunch - Leftovers from my Longhhorn Steakhouse meal - Chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts Dessert/Snack - Chocolate Stampede cake from Longhorn and decaf coffee Dinner - Chicken nuggets and potato salad What did you eat yesterday? Photo Credit: Pixabay - Abstract chicken

@Gilljane I'm a big chicken. Had my other knee replaced (and a hip); and the knee is so much worse and requires a lot of PT.

A cousin of mine went through pure hell with her knee and refused to get it done, finally it interfered with her independence, and she had to go to a nursing facility. She then decided it was time to get it done, she is so happy she did that, she is back home. This was last winter. Her husband complains that now they are out and about too much because she can walk and go places she hasn't gone to in so long. It is absolutely not fun to be in terrible pain. I hope you feel better soon, Linda.

@MarieCoyle Eventually I will get tired of the pain and will get it done. The knee takes so much PT though. 2 or 3 times a week for several weeks. Ugh.

Do you have a support for your knee in the meantime? My left knee is on and off . . . I'm still trying to figure it out. Last night's dinner was baked salmon, steamed vegetables, and raspberries.

I am sorry for your knee. I had figs and Italian salame for lunch. We are still working at our storage space, so we only stopped for a quick lunch.

@MommyOfEli2013 Onions are in most potato salads. I get the ones where I can't taste them because I do NOT like onions, especially raw ones. YUCK!

Are you thinking you are going to have to give in, and have it replaced? Yesterday, I had garlic salmon, carrots, BBQ chicken bites, and two soft pretzel twists. Those soft pretzel twists are so good!

Sorry about your knee I hope you can find ways to alleviate the pain. I too have a bum knee which right now does not hurt but on occasion, it goes out on me. Hey, I discovered a delicious dish by just mixing stuff together, I have some breaded chicken pieces and I added them to rice in a pan then added a can of undiluted tomato soup mixed it together and melted American cheese through it, It was quite tasty and I have more for tomorrow,

@LindaOHio There are things more painful than chemo. That will be great if you can get pt at home.

Yes, I'll need a new knee. I'm putting it off because a knee is so much harder than a hip and requires so much PT. I know it's nothing compared to chemo; but I don't like having to go our 2 or 3 times a week. Maybe I can get PT at home? We shall see.

I'm pretty sure it's bone-on-bone; so I don't think it would help. Fortunately when I'm sitting in the recliner it usually doesn't hurt. Thanks for the suggestion and have a good day.

I'm sorry you're in a lot of pain. I hope you can get the knee replaced soon. Your leftovers sound good. My food yesterday: Breakfast - All Bran Buds and a banana. Lunch - plum, Oatnut bead sandwich with Swiss and Colby-Jack cheese. Dinner - Oatmeal with blueberries. Snack - 1 slice of Ezekiel raisin bread and 1 Dove dark chocolate candy. Well within my calorie budget.

I'm so sorry about your knee. Is it bone on bone right now? Yesterday I had some scrambled eggs with red peppers for breakfast, some pumpkin-flavored coffee, a Costco hot dog for lunch, and then some cheeseburger macaroni with snow peas for dinner. I felt like I hadn't eaten nearly enough vegetables, so I had a mug of vegetable soup as a snack before bed.

@LindaOHio That sounds so uncomfortable. Do you know what kind of surgery it will be? I have a coworker who just had to get knee surgery, and his was unfortunately not laparoscopic.

@spiderdust No, it won't be laparoscopic. I've had one knee and one hip done. The knee is the worst. More painful, more recovery time and LOTS of physical therapy which I hate because I have to go out to the clinic 2 or 3 times a week. Phooey!

Hmm, what did I eat yesterday? oatmeal for breakfast, yogurt for lunch...a few pieces of candy, salmon and carribbean rice for dinner. If you got a knee replacement would hubby be able to take care of you, until you were better?
