What do you wish more people posted about on Mylot?

I'm with Eva...I truly do not like pro sports at all. It's way out of hand, that someone can make millions playing football, and first responders scraping them up off the field and saving their lives make next to nothing. I know, some people really enjoy pro sports. I enjoy watching my grandsons play ball, and I watched a gazillion games my kids were in growing up. If I got $1 per hour for all of my bleacher time, I could pay cash for a new car! But I did it out of love, and didn't complain about it. Football is the worst. I simply HATE watching it. But then again, that's just me.

Posts about the weather go a long way even, but I guess it’s because complaining or praising the weather is so relatable.

@Juliaacv I agree weather and what you eating posts are boring. Very easy to respond to but not any thought that has to go into writing a post like that or commenting.

@AmbiePam At least we are not seeing the numerous food posts, to read one or two with something else in it is fine, but only what you eat, and what is in your pantry or freezer, that isn't anything that ever interested me.

You never wish there was another Mylotter who loved Latvia?

@AmbiePam For some reason I feel more free to talk about my relationship with Jesus on here than I do on FB. I pray I'll never deny Him, but FB is just different. And not always in a good way.

Your life is definitely not ordinary to read about.

@Fleura I would not suggest so often someone with an ordinary life start a blog. But it’s probably a good thing you find it ordinary.

@AmbiePam Thanks for asking. I am feeling good enough today to notice all the messes that were not dealt with when I was foggy headed. Maybe I will go make a simple cake and ignore the piles??

@sallypup It’s not going to hurt to overlook the messes one more day. Tomorrow you’ll be even stronger, and you can attack your place with appropriate vigor. Okay, vigor might be an overstatement, but maybe you can overlook the tediousness of it tomorrow.

In real life I’m always looking for someone to talk to about sports as well.

I think there is a misconception in this discussion that weather posts and food posts shouldn’t be written. I just wanted to know what maybe people had a desire to talk about than we hadn’t been. Amazingly, even my money making survey sites are polling me about my feelings about Taylor Swift and football now. I never would have that would happen.

Yes, we really do. I’d prefer that way more than sports conversations. I like a good conservative political post. Even if I don’t respond to it, I have the assurance it will contradict those who make a habit of slamming the users who aren’t liberal.

@AmbiePam Conservatives unfortunately get bashed around here quite a lot. Part of that is because at least on myLot, we're outnumbered. But I actually think there are more conservatives here than we generally see only because many of them either a) avoid the issue because they don't want to be bashed or b) simply don't enjoy the topic.
