Holy smoly, he got a shave LOL

I caught this shot when Tuffy was rolling around on his 'tree bed' he's pretty long.

I had a heck of a time getting Tuffy into the carrier I bought for him, it's one of those bag type dillybobs where he can poke his head out and I zip his body up in a 'bag', it wasn't easy and I didn't think to take a picture

So I took him to the vet and he got his shots and a shave, he had all these nasty matted fur twixt his front an back legs, now he's mat free but I don't know for how long. He's a big boy at 13.4 pounds and he got a clean bill of health from his vet. In the above photo he was stretching to show off his size, yeah, he's kinda big but at least not as big as my Main Coon was. And here's Tuffy letting me give him a belly rub, isn't he funny?

Chilly isn't a huge fan of going into his. At least when I took him to the vet last week, he didn't hiss.

Poor Tuffy was so shocked when I forced him into that bag, at least he didn't hiss or get violent.

He was, but he did like being able to hide inside the bag when he was scared then on the way home he stuck his head out to see what I was doing, thankfully it all went well.

I love the part when he's giving you kissies on your hand! That's great Tuffy is so healthy and is free from the matted fur . . . so they just shaved it all off?

@rebelann Is there such a thing as cat fur conditioner (like what we do after shampooing)? You can tell I have no idea how to take care of cats!

She only shaved the areas between his legs where the mats were really bad. I hope he'll be more open to being brushed but I'm not gonna hold my breath

I have never heard of shaving a cat. But I guess if you have to you have to. lol Tuffy sure did like his belly rub, though. Grayson lets me do it and I think he likes it, although he will get his back legs kicking and try to claw me. But always in a playful manner.

If he lets you brush him then maybe you can prevent mats. Tuffy is hard on brushes or me if I let him

Tuffy's pretty tolerant Nico can be very friendly when he wants to be, but I don't see him letting me give him a belly rub. It He had to be on in the right mood even to allow himself to be petted.
