Hubby's cousin and I went to see him last night. It was really tough seeing him lying in bed, confused and talking gibberish. He is still under the influence of the sedatives that they gave him, so he was falling in and out of sleep. He finally did recognize both of us and seemed grateful that we were there. Before we left, he said he hoped we would come back and see him tomorrow.
While we were there he kept thinking that he was falling or he would start talking about being somewhere else. It was really heartbreaking. The nurses said that he is getting better although I sure didn't see it. Will keep you advised.
So far the tests that they've given him do not show any signs of dementia; but they are still pursuing that route to be sure.
Thank you so much for your prayers and thoughts.

@LindaOHio I try to pop in every now and then and read a bit to see what everyone is up to! I've been good just busy. The antique store booth added a little more work to my schedule! I'll be working at the flea market Sunday afternoon. The new help did not work out.
I hope you are getting some answers now as to what is going on with your hubby!!

@LindaOHio - The sooner he comes home and see a physiotherapist the best is for him.

I am really happy you got to see him, and I am sure he was happy to see you too. Never easy to see the ones we love in a state not exactly like who we know them to be. But hang in there. I am sure things will get better. Just a matter of time.

Sorry to hear this and hope he gets better to come home. Its never a good time in this life when stuff like that happens. Hopefully its just a temporary thing. Life is not easy, I do not care what anyone says.

@LindaOHio Take care. I remember the relief I felt when the local Do Gooder woman drove over and rescued my hubby from the ER. I sure couldn't do it and I couldn't find a cab.

@sallypup His cousin will be the same. She takes me to visit him, etc. and can stop by the house if I need anything.

When strong medicines continue for long patients do turn delirious but I think he should be tested for dementia.

They will concentrate on his weakness problems and try to build him up, hopefully it won’t be too long of a fight!

I am sure it was a great comfort to him to have you visit. I found that Bob acted really confused the times he had to be in the hospital last year. I hope your hubby can be released soon.

Awwww! Yeah when my uncle was in the hospital and nursing homes the meds kept making him talk silly stuff. He couldn't think of my daughter's name he called her Pearl Harbor and started laughing and said he knew it was a war. LOL! I am continuing prayers for your husband.
