Went to visit my husband in the hospital yesterday. It's quite a distance away compared to the other hospital he was in and the rehab facility. The room he is in is tiny, tiny, tiny; and there is another patient in the room with him...I was unable to even get close to him.
He was pretty alert, knew who we were but still talks about strange things. He keeps wanting to get out of bed; but now they have a bed alarm to alert the nurses. It looks like his surgery will be on Tuesday.
His sister said we will go visit again today. This time we will know our way much better. We got off at the wrong exit and saw the mansions on Lake Erie and the old Euclid Beach Park entrance.
Thank you for your continued concern, prayers and thoughts.

I’m curious to know if your husband knew his sister? I hope he did. Did you get to talk to the doctor like you wanted to? I thought that might be reassuring, I hope they keep you well informed. I’m glad you got to go to see him.

The bed alarm was a good idea, they can be life savers-literally.
It must be difficult on you not to be able to get closer to him, especially after all you have been through, but just hold on another couple of days, and hopefully you will be able to hold his hand, and he will be more cohesive and easy to understand.

@LindaOHio You hold on, it cannot be alot longer until you have a better idea of his physical condition following the surgery.

@LadyDuck I'm a nervous wreck today. His surgery is this morning; and with all his medical conditions, I'm very stressed.

I had no idea they moved him to a different hospital. Thought it was the same one. Not so great to be in a tiny room and have another patient there as well. I hope they treat him well there at least and that he will be better after the surgery.

@LindaOHio would be great if he didn’t have to go back to rehab again.

@lovebuglena One of the doctors recommended a rehab facility quite a distance from our house. He thinks it would be better than where he is now.

Certain medications make a person's mind wander. I experienced that when I had surgery. I'm so glad your husband knows everyone, especially you.

@LindaOHio Just remember, certain medications hinder mental ability. He will soon be fine!

Sorry he is in such a small room....
But that is good you got to see him. Sorry you weren't able to get close to him though.
That's good you'll go see him again today
