2/27/24 - Update on My Husband

Went to see hubby yesterday. There were all kinds of doctors going in and out and various tests being performed in anticipation of his surgery today. It's going to be the first surgery of the day at 7:30 am.
Two of the doctors spoke to me about what they are going to do. He will receive a partial hip replacement to fix the fractured hip. Hubby has trouble with anesthesia; and that was duly noted. The heart doctor said that since his neurological issues have not been addressed, he is going to get the neurologist involved. We will find out if he has dementia, hospital delirium or what. The hospital always does such a better job than rehab.
He was pretty alert yesterday; but still talks a lot of nonsense. He actually ate some food. That was good to see.
Please continue praying and sending positive thoughts that my husband survives this surgery.

They had cleared him; but things did not go well in the OR. Surgery was aborted when his blood pressure dropped and his heart rate was too high. Being transported to Cleveland Clinic to have the surgery done there.

@lovebuglena He is being transferred to Hillcrest Hospital which is supposed to be just as good. They need to have him in a hospital which is more prepared to handle emergency situations.

@LindaOHio I read one of your more recent discussions where you updated us on his hip surgery I really worry about his blood pressure and heart rate, and really hope that now the surgery is over his body can begin focusing on healing and getting better.

Hopefully it will all go well, and that is good they know about those issues. And good they will figure out what is going on.

@MommyOfEli2013 The doctors have suggested that he go to a rehab facility quite a distance from our house. They think it's better than where he was.
