4/10/24 - Update on My Husband

I called Admissions yesterday and was not able to speak with anyone; so I left a message on voice mail. I asked for a call back ASAP so we could move things along.
Hubs said his physical therapy went well yesterday. He was supposed to do 30 reps of an exercise; and he did 50. He still needs 2 people supporting him when he tries to walk. My dream of him coming home this month is not going to happen.
Our housekeeper's mother is taking me to see him today. Looking forward to seeing my hubby of course!

I am sure he wants to come home, too. He may come home this month, it just depends on what the rehab center says in terms of how much assistance he needs after he leaves. What you can help with and so on. So, don't lose hope just yet.

@LindaOHio If he works hard enough, that could change. George was able to shave three days off his admission from in-patient rehab.

@LindaOHio I know that is upsetting. Keep encouraging him to do the PT and to get better so he can get out of that place!! Praying that he has a great recovery and sooner than expected!

I saw his legs yesterday. He used to have muscular legs...now there is just skin hanging on bones. He has a long way to go.

That is good he done 50 instead of the amount suggested to him. I hope you get the call back soon. Enjoy your visit when you go to see your hubby.

@LindaOHio — praise God!!! He may be home by the time you get the transfer paperwork (which is what they want, but it’s also what YOU want).

Sorry to hear it is still a pain trying to get a hold of them.
That's good to hear how he is doing though, and that he did more of the exercise. Sorry you don't think he'll make it home by then. Hopefully as quickly as possible for you.

AWESOME, then he's getting better, I remember when I was in thearpy
they put me in with a group of other people & had us doing some stuff
when I 1st started it wasn't easy cause I could bearly get outta bed
but I did what I could as much as I could & it always wore me out.

I know you must be very disappointed that your hubby probably won't be coming home this month. But, it sounds like his physical therapy is going well and he's making progress. Hope that the admissions office responds to your voicemail Enjoy your visit today
