His physical therapy didn't go too well yesterday; and he didn't feel strong enough to try the stairs.
I called the Ombudsman in Cleveland that handles rehab and long-term facilities. He is going to call the Administrator and my beloved Social Worker to get an invoice for the $1,218 charge. When I asked if they could kick my husband out after filing a complaint, he said, "They know better than to mess with us! Allrighty then!
Called the number the agency gave me for the next step in our appeal since we lost the Reconsideration. I have to fill out 3 pages of paperwork which is very confusing. Then it must be sent to the US Dept. of Health & Human Services for a final decision. Hubs must sign one of the forms; so this could take a while.

I just hope that it all goes well and gets sorted out soon. You have been dealing with all these for a while and doing it so well being so strong.

Health services in your country seem very bad in some ways.
I´m very much worried that you will have to take care of your husband if you can´t do it.

There's no way I can help my husband in and out of his chair, etc. I can heat up a meal for him...that's about it.

@LindaOHio I know that perfectly well. In my case, I spend a lot of money I can´t spare, paying Anita once a week to clean and mop. I just can´t do it. Her wages are almost what I spend for groceries in a month.

That does sound like a long confusing process. I'm surprised that your husband has to sign the form too.

There is a form which appoints me as his representative. Since I am the one filling out all the paperwork for him, it must be filled out and then signed by him.

My oldest son has a friend in Ohio, Ombudsman helped him a lot. That was some years ago. I am glad they are going to help you. I got the impression that they get things done!

I sure hope you can get all this fixed for good cause
I know what my husband went through while I was
in rehab that he had to get ME to call people & give
them my 10 cents of what was going on.

Now that I've contacted the Ombudsman, I doubt they will ignore my calls anymore.

Maybe now you'll see some action and they won't get away with ignoring you. Hope you can get those forms done and submitted. Hoping that this isomewhat relieves some of your stress.
