8/17/24 - Update On My Husband

We went to see my husband yesterday and brought him some KFC chicken. He happily scarfed down most of the bucket of chicken and coleslaw.
Within 10 seconds I found the "missing" money. Glad to see that it wasn't stolen.
Every time I see my husband he looks so old and frail to me. He has changed drastically over the last 6-1/2 months with everything he's gone through and losing all that weight. I can't wait to get him home. His chest is still congested from the COVID; but he isn't coughing too much.
We are going to see him again on Tuesday which is his birthday (I had hoped he would be home by then...sigh); and I will bring him a couple of slices of cake.

Glad you were able to see him and that you found the money. I can imagine how he enjoyed that chicken. Hey, get him home and then you can fatten him up. Wishing you both all the best and many blessings,

He must have a stomach made of cast iron. If I are that much fried food in one day I would be so, so sick!

@porwest He said that it will take him AT LEAST 2 weeks to recover from COVID and to get his strength back....Sigh.

That's good you got to see him, and he enjoyed the food. That's good you found the money and it wasn't stolen. Hopefully he can be home ASAP!

He will gain some when he comes back home, I am sure. When he is able to get up and move it will help as well, but I agree that being sick ages you.
