10/2/24 - Update On My Husband

He didn't call again last night. Spoke with Nancy in Medical Records. She will get the Skilled Nursing Records together and has requested the Physical Therapy Records from PT. She was quite agreeable and nice about it. I just had to send her an email making a formal request. The guy from the grab bar company called back. Said he could install a grab bar purchased from another company and would charge $175-250. Sheesh! I think I will be going with the guy who will charge $170. Yeah, I hear 'ya! They charge a minimum of $150 just to come out.

Seems simple now that you know that you just have to make the formal request. I think I would go with the guy who will charge $170 if he will indeed show up.

Yes, he even called me to check to see if I still wanted him to install it. I think he needs the work.

I had to remodel my bathroom over 2 years ago to suit my legs. I have a big shower and grab bars everywhere. The shower is big enough so that I can put a plastic chair over a towel there so that I can take a shower while seated. I think about you and your husband every day.

Things cost so much to install. At least they were around the same $170 price. You could tell the guy with the bigger range, if you think he would do a good job, that you had a cheaper offer and see if he would do it for the same price. Wish I had the ability to DYI stuff in my house.

The guy at $170 said he has a lot of experience installing in a fiberglass shower surround. It's a tricky install; so I hope he's telling the truth!!!
