At the hospital with pneumonia / myLot

Good morning, friends. I have not been here these last days as I´m just back from a stay of 3 days at the hospital with pneumonia. I woke up on Tuesday morning coughing and with a big pain in my back. I fist called for a doctor appointment and there was nobody available. Dixie had a big family problem too so she told me to call an ambulance. I was taken to the hospital where they did all sorts of exams. I am now on antibiotics for some days and the doctor told me that the symptoms would take weeks to stop. But after the fist part of the treament they preferred to send me home as there is such a thing as intrahospitalar ailments. I also have to inhale something 3 times a day and will not be so sedentary when I am well. I don´t feel well yet, but will do it little by little. My daughter Claudia came to pick me up last night and I slept better than in those bad hospital beds. See you later. Love you all. I have missed mylotting.

I´m glad that I was too ill to take my laptop with me. The aides managed to lose a lot of my clothes and they have not been found. I decided that I´d accept the loss.

They say here that bad weed is hard to die. But I was worried for a moment. And my lungs (or bronchii or who knows) still hurt.

@marguicha I'm sorry you still hurt and hope you're feeling better now.

I got home from the hospital yesterday afternoon. I had a severe allergic reaction to something and tried to treat it myself by using two epi-pens. When they didn't work, Pretty forced me to go to the ER. The ER doctor put me on an IV with several different meds in it. I was there for almost two days. I'm home and can breathe on my own now. I'm just really tired and feel like I could sleep for a week.

The Dr. said I would not feel well for 2 or 3 weeks. But I´ll manage at home. And my insurance does not cover all the hospital bills.

Oh, I hate that. And right during the holidays. I’m glad they did send you home, not only because of the fear of catching something else in the hospital but who wants to be there during the Christmas season? Pray you’re getting better quickly!

I felt very bad just when nobody could help me. Fortunatly the girls, against my wishes, took an insurance for urgency calls. A very old ambulance came and took me to the hospital.

I'm sorry to hear this and right on Christmas too. I know they like to get people out of hospital as quickly as they can because of the danger of picking up other infections.

As soon as they knew it was not a virus they wanted to get rid of me. But I´m stuffed with antibiotics and inhalers and the like.

I was concerned about you. I knew something was wrong or you would have posted. Pneumonia is nothing to mess with. And it really makes a person feel exhausted. Rest all you can, take your meds, and be good to my friend Marga. We all love you.

I AM exhausted. Today I cooked a pot of broth and was panting.

I will take care, specially of being hydrated. It is very warm now and I´m taking strong antibiotics. I will take care. I don´t like to feel as if I had left my lungs elsewhere. And my legs are woolly too and it is not because of sedentary life.

@MarieCoyle It won´t be changed much, I think, except for the time to go to sleep. I´ll go to Dixie´s, the only memeber of the family not related by blood. Dixie got hold of MY bed for me before I got ill. I suppose that I´ll wait until presents are opened half dozing and then I´ll say good night.

@marguicha I learned the hard way the first time I had pneumonia. It’s just not something a person bounces back from. I’m sorry. I am sure this will put a damper on your Christmas plans, but your health is more important!

Oh gosh hugs to you my friend. You must feel so awful. I hope the antibiotics work well and that you feel better soon. I know the doctors say it’ll be awhile but I’ll be thinking of you.

@allknowing It is not Claudia´s situation although I wish it was. Claudia has a very demanding job, no maid and 2 children with her still. Worse than that, my youngest granddaughter has serious psychological problems due to abuse from her evil father. She is on the mend, we hope, but it is slow.
