12/27/24 - Update On My Husband

Purposely left my husband's cell phone on when I saw him. Tried to call him yesterday; but there was no answer.
Received a new bill for room and board from the facility. The room rates are $10 more than they quoted; so I'll have to give them a call. Of course. Sigh. And, of course, I need to call the social worker about charges for physical therapy.
Will be seeing my husband on Sunday. I need to ask his cousin if we will be going on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day.

Why don't you try following up with the VA and check your application status? Maybe you can get the PT for free. How have you been feeling?

I'm just tired. I don't sleep much. Yes, I'm going to find a number to call and follow up on the application.

@LindaOHio Maybe ,you can get an antidepressant which encourages sleep. Trazadone is a good one.

@snowy22315 I've tried Trazadone. It does nothing for me. I've tried quite a few meds.

they would make it a point to answer you with straight answers.
When I have to be the AZZ That I CAN BE I get the results
I came after & when they hear my name they run for cover
I don't let people run the show when I'm in charge with my
or my husbands life! ! ! I get people fired for stupid stuff they do.

You need to make some phone calls, all right: to state elderly advocates, to lawyers, and to other places. You’re getting a runaround that I never saw in fourteen years of government employment…and THAT is hard to believe!

@LindaOHio I just feel like there is an obstacle, medication or a diagnosis, that is standing between the way that he is and the way that he should be. Does that make sense? Like his true self is being masked, and it seems to have gotten worse since he went to this facility. I wonder if they have him on something or if he does have dementia, that hasn't actually ben officially diagnosed has it?
