I appreciate it, but….

While I was gone to my sister’s, a few packages that were surprisingly early were delivered. I no longer have anything remotely expensive sent to my place after the package theft a month or so ago (it gets sent to my dad’s). So I resigned myself to the possibility that they would be missing when I arrived home, but it was fairly cheap items, and it would annoy me, but not completely upset me.
When I arrived home they were gone, but a note was on the door from my new neighbor across from me. She said she had the two packages at her place because she was nervous they would be stolen. How sweet! She didn’t come home until the next day, and then I got my packages.
Today at 8:52am. I noticed a text saying my Walmart package had arrived at 8:43am. I go to my door, and it’s missing. However, there’s a note from my new neighbor. She didn’t want it to be stolen so she took it to her place. I knocked on her door, but she wasn’t home. It was only in front of my door for 9 minutes!I didn’t have a chance to get it!
I’m not complaining because now I know I have an eagle eyed neighbor (I’m getting a knock off of a Ring this week). But I really wish I would have had a chance to get today’s delivery myself. I’ll have to do something nice for her as a thank you. I want to show my appreciation.
Do you have a really trustworthy neighbor?

That is a nice neighbor. I have one or two that mow the strip of grass in front of my property.

Yes, I would say my two next door neighbors (either side) are trustworthy.

It sounds like you´ll have to make some cookies or invite her for a cup of coffee. Maybe there are other nice things that are worthwhile in her.

The neighbor across the street and the older couple next door keep an eye on the house if they notice we're gone. The older man asked me to keep a light burning at my back door when we moved in. I've always kept my front porch light on in case a friend shows up. I don't want them tripping up the steps in the dark.

They are trustworthy but do not live really close like that. I am glad your packages will be safe.

Our neighbours are good. Your neighbour should not do it when you are there You can gently tell her that

Your neighbour is certainly eagle-eyed but it's very good of her. I guess you'll just have to put up with it.
We've been away two nights and were expecting three parcels tomorrow but they all arrived while we were away! Luckily my BIL picked them up for us and put them inside.

It does seem like she may be a bit over-zealous in her efforts to help...however, since you did have that big theft of the packages, I am glad to hear that someone is helping you watch for them. I will be very glad when you get that camera installed, Amber! I know mine gives me a lot of peace of mind.

My two oldest children decided about two years ago that mom needed a camera. I have to admit it is nice to have. I don’t get a lot of activity from people I don’t know, etc. but it will give you a little more of a feeling of safety which is always a good thing. I am glad that your Dad is feeling better, Amber.
