Cousin #3 and her husband came over yesterday to clear out the front of the garage so that they can install the new garage door and opener. I was amazed at how much trash we threw away. Put a couple of items out on the front lawn for someone to pick up if they so choose. Put out a chair, microwave (scrap pickers will take this) and a huge styrofoam cooler.
Received my new camera. It didn't come with memory cards so I ordered some and they should arrive today.
Got in touch with Visiting Angels. They should be calling me soon.
I wish I trusted online dating more. I would join the Widower site and look for a kindly gentleman for companionship. I miss and love my husband so much; but I'm not getting any younger. Anybody know anyone or are you old and lonely? lololol
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Stuffed shells, zucchini, carrots, pears and peaches
Dessert/Snack - Banana chocolate chunk muffin
Dinner - Buffalo chicken/Cheddar sandwich and taco chips

I hope the Visiting Angels can help you with a lot of the things you need help with and you can get a discount for their services.
Some days I feel older than my age but I don't get lonely... I have all my friends on myLot to keep me company. (Or, I read books and live a vicarious life through them. 
)

Visiting Angels won't work. They have a minimum of 4 hours per shift and don't want someone who uses them sporadically.

I got some southwest seasoned pork roast out the freezer. Made lots of veggies with it, and spit a baked potato with hubby.

Can you explain to me what visiting angels is if you don’t mind?
A friend of mine met her husband on a Christian online dating site. I was very happy for her she met a wonderful man and enjoys her new life with him. I was scared though meeting strangers can be very scary. He was from about 6 hours away so not someone close enough you could ask around about.

Visiting Angels come to your house and help you with whatever you want. They also take you on appointments, etc.; but they have a minimum charge of 4 hours per shift and they don't want someone who uses them sporadically. I'm too afraid to online date.

Glad you are getting stuff done. Friend and her hubby sound good. What does Visiting Angels do? Be very careful with online dating. You don't want to lose your best egg.

@snowy22315 I don't know how much they charge per hour. I'm guessing around $25. $100 is a lot to get a ride to an appointment.

I’m old but not lonely (nor a male, so there’s two strikes).

I had chicken taco lunch at a Chuy’s in Lexington, and chicken veggie soup and “grilled’ (microwaved) cheese for dinner. And apples, more apples, yogurt, and fiber!

@FourWalls The lady across the street might be able to help me in a pinch. The Council on Aging sent me a big list. Most of them won't do medical appointments though for some reason.

Glad you were able to get the garage cleaned out and the door done. Hope the Visiting Angels are able to help. That certainly would be ideal for you.
It would be nice if you found a companion but I don't really trust online dating either.

I think you should give online dating a try, especially if there is a site geared toward older individuals. It's worth at least looking into, nothing says you have to meet up in person right away with anyone you match up with. When I tried online dating many, many years ago after I got divorced, I was very cautious and selective about girls I matched up with.

Your food for yesturday sounds delicious.
Right now my Mom is making a beef stew ....oh my days , the aroma coming from the kitchen is amazing. Can't wait for it to be ready.

Glad to hear you were able to get some things accomplished. I had brats leftover and we have a camping trip coming up, so I don't want a lot of leftovers hanging around. Just made a batch of scrambled eggs with brats, onions, orange bell pepper and shredded cheese added into them. We had buttered toast on the side. Good eats!

Understand, online dating sounds scary. I met my husband online, but not through a dating site.
Was a random message back when yahoo had an instant messenger app. Crazy to think that is how it all started.
I do not know of anyone personally....

@LindaOHio Yes, and we didn't even meet in person for like 2 years after we started talking. And I had to fly to go see him....

Do you have any interest in joining a community centre or a seniors centre?
You would meet so many new friends, and it would be a much more organic.
Yesterday, I had the last leftover steak kabob for lunch and we had beans and homemade burgers for supper.

I would have to somehow put on my shoes and socks without help; and then I would have to drive to the senior center. I really don't want to drive anymore. I am hoping that someone I know knows someone.

i applaud you for finding someone for yourself and i wish it comes true; i don't have a luck in love but i wish the best for you i hada a chocolate icecream as a dessert and some fried fish leftover for my lunch. a bagle was my breakfast and still debating to havea hot dog for my dinner or not
