Update on gravel guy - The lady across the street called me to tell me that gravel guy was in the hospital to have his pacemaker replaced. She came over to pick up my review so that he only had to make one stop. Apparently many years ago he separated from his wife. She is older than he is; and they decided not to go forward with the divorce. So he is technically still married even though they don't see each other anymore. She said she thinks Kathleen is his DIL. Much to think about.
101 dogs were rescued from an alleged puppy mill in someone's North Carolina home. The dogs and puppies were in horrible conditions, some packed 5 or 6 to a cage and many are in need of veterinary help. I hope they charge this person or persons to the full extent of the law.
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Turkey Reuben, cucumber/onion/tomato salad (YUCK!), grapes
Dessert/Snack - Lemon blueberry muffin
Dinner - PB&J sandwich, chips, blueberry yogurt
What did you eat yesterday?

Do you NEED to get married again for companionship?
I ate a sausage, egg and cheese croissant for breakfast yesterday and chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes and fried green beans for "lunch" with no supper and no dessert.

I don't know. I may be totally disappointed when I find out he was "just being nice". I do know that I don't want to spend the rest of my life alone.

I don't like being alone. I always wanted someone in my life. My husband always wanted that for me if he should die first. I agree about putting the owners in a cage.

@LadyDuck
I think they should be locked up forever in the cage. I have been to my share of puppy mills to rescue dogs over the years. It's horrible and heartbreaking. Lock 'em up, throw the key away!

Broccoli is my favorite veggie. I like it raw or cooked.

Back to Chuy’s (the salsa level in my blood had dropped seriously while I was gone
) for chicken soft taco lunch, and chicken veggie soup, cheese sandwich, berry blend fake sorbet, yogurt, and fiber for dinner.

You have more information now to work with.
My husband and I have both discussed out living each other.
He always told me that he would never ever become interested in another woman, even for company.
I feel the same way, but that is just us.
I think that it is great if people develop a strong companionship for spending time together.
Yesterday I had a turkey club sandwich for lunch and only ate half of it, enjoyed the other half for supper.

@LindaOHio Thinking this way does not mean that I would ever change my mind.

@Juliaacv I always thought that when my husband passed away I would be inconsolable and unable to go on. I surprised myself. I talk to him every day and cry every day; but it's been a lot easier than I imagined. Also, I NEVER would have thought that I would be interested in male companionship so soon; but I'm not getting any younger, eh?

I used to think that way; but I found out I am not meant to be alone. I want male companionship in my life. My husband always said that if he should go first, he wanted me to find someone and not spend my time alone. I personally think he's just trying to be nice since he knows I'm alone. I don't think he's interested in me.

Hmm. Maybe considering some dating? That could be fun.
For dinner, my wife's cousin Lori came into town since they will head off Sunday for their annual gambling trip. We ordered a pizza from Pizza World with sausage, mushroom, and onion, and we also got some cheesy garlic bread and an order of garlic parmesan boneless chicken wings.
Good eats!

PIZZA! I'm going to have cousin #3 make my frozen pizza on Monday. I wouldn't have thought I'd be interested in going out so soon; but I hate being alone. Hubby always said don't close yourself off if I should die. Get out there and find someone. He was right.

Yes, the owners should be punished severely.

I briefly saw the news story on the rescued dogs. Breaks my heart that there are people in the world who think doing stuff like this is acceptable. Sadly, I don't think our laws are strict enough when it comes to animal cruelty and animal welfare.

We had roast pork, roast potatoes, cabbage, sage and onion stuffing and gravy. I also had apple sauce.
For pudding we had home made trifle.

I must have missed something, but I think I was here almost every day to not be lost.
PB&J sounds good. I had pizza yesterday for one meal and corn dog bites for dinner.
