For those following the saga, although I mentioned this already on the discussion, my dad rallied in the afternoon and started doing much better. So plans to visit are back on. Going to my nephew's place tomorrow evening, and we will leave from sis's place Friday maybe by noon. Glad plans will go off as scheduled. I need to get some things checked out on the car, before I undertake a long trip like that.

I missed seeing an update about your dad. I'm glad he's doing better. 
Get your car checked before you leave on the trip. It'll be more relaxing if you aren't worried if it will make it there and back.

I am only going to friends. We will take his car to go up to my nephew's in Maryland, and I will leave from there.

@snowy22315 When I was young, people more or less expected to break down on a long journey. That doesn't happen so much nowadays.

I hope so. Should be pretty good as long as my mother doesn't get in a snit about something. I am sure she is feeling very anxious about the future..but they opted to stay in the house..personally, I would have liked to see them in Senior Housing before this, but they ultimately have to make that decision.

I hope so. I just wanted to be there for his bday, because I don't know how many more he will have. He has in his head he wants to live to 90, and that is only two more years.
