Gravel guy called yesterday. I wasn't quite sure if he said he or his son would come out today (6/26) to measure my flower bed for mulch or landscape rock. I imagine it will be his son since I don't think he's back to work yet. I have nothing on the schedule which is really weird after all those projects I was having done. Just waiting for the window to come in. Remember my talking about the soda pop "Poppi" and how it was over $2 per can? I never thought it would get off the ground. I've been seeing a lot of commercials for it; and I read that PepsiCo bought them out for $1.95 BILLION! The Poppi people have to be dancing now... Breakfast - PB&J sandwich Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Tuna salad sandwich, 3 bean salad, coleslaw, fruit Dessert/Snack - Lemon blueberry muffin Dinner - Turkey/Provolone sandwich, tortilla chips, ice cream bar What did you eat yesterday? I don't remember that, but that's interesting. I don't think i would try that kind of soda. Sounds like interesting meals. I had taco bell nacho fries and a chicken enchilada burrito (no rice) and then for dinner chicken and waffle fries

Chicken and waffle fries sound good. I have a taste for pizza or orange chicken or DQ's chicken tenders basket.

@MommyOfEli2013 You might like the orange chicken. Chicken pieces coated in batter and deep fried. Has a very faint orange flavor. Served with rice. I always order it mild.

@LindaOHio We deep fried the chicken and the fries. Fries are so much better deep fried lol. all of those sound good except orange chicken lol

I’ve had Poppi, but it’s not my favorite of the new probiotic sodas. It’s better to me though than regular diet soda. Yesterday, I had creamy chicken noodle soup, a pineapple Greek yogurt, a strawberry wafer bar, and a little of pizza soup. But I hated the pizza soup.

I've never heard of pizza soup. I've never tried Poppi.

@LindaOHio If you ever get the chance, I’d recommend Poppi, but not the pizza soup.

Yesterday, I ate another Waldorf salad, and had leftover cheeseburger salad for supper. All this salad eating is paying off on the scale.

I've noticed the scale is inching up. I don't know what I'm eating that is causing it. Maybe the chips and ice cream bars.

I have read that the maker of Poppi prebiotic soda has agreed to pay an $8.9 million settlement that will resolve a consolidated class action lawsuit, IF approved by the court. I suppose they needed cash to resolve the lawsuit.

@LindaOHio - This is the reason why they were sued. A glass of apple juice contains 0.5 grams of fiber and it's a natural drink, but a whole apple is almost 5 grams.

Yes. DE said that they made a claim that Poppi was good for gut health when it actually only had 2 grams of fiber or something like that.

We refer to pop as just that, but you say soda, will the company need to change their name in the buy out? Yesterday I had a piece of toast for lunch and we had breaded shrimp and tater tots for supper.

It's quite expensive. Gravel guy's price was 2x what the weed guy quoted.

I've seen commercials for Poppi but never really paid much attention to it but guess they are happy with being bought by PepsiCo. Hard to imagine how easily we say billions now instead of millions. Last night we had plain old spaghetti with marinara sauce and texas toast.

The Poppi people must be doing a dance. That's quite a buyout.

Good luck with the flower bed. I ate another chopped lettuce salad with buttered sourdough bread for supper. And an ice cream bar.

I would like some salads. Need someone to make them for me. I don't like buying the salad kits because of all the recalls on them.

When the contractors were here doing all kinds of repairs, etc., they pulled out a piece of rotted wood and the window shifted and broke to the tune of almost $3,000. They said they didn't break it; so I would have to pay for the replacement.

What people are willing to pay for these energy and specialty drinks never ceases to amaze me. But the big companies like Coca-Cola and Pepsi certainly get it. For dinner I made up a batch of my world-famous spaghetti and meatballs with poor man's garlic bread on the side. Definitely good eats.
