Bacon and Tomato Sandwiches for Dinner Tonight

I went with bacon and tomato sandwiches tonight in order to not spend so much time in the kitchen cooking when it is so hot today!
I didn't have lettuce so we were minus that but still good with home grown tomatoes!
What did you have for dinner tonight?

Tomatoes are good for sandwiches. We're doing that too here. Lettuces are rare here and too expensive

The only time I ever treat myself to bacon is in the summers, OH, that first BLT of the season...with the homegrown tomato. One of the best things to eat, in my opinion. I do like crunchy lettuce with mine, but I almost always try to have lettuce here, as salads are a big thing with me. (I have been known to cut back on other things in order to buy lettuce!) The only thing wrong with a summertime BLT is when it's gone. They are so, so good!

@kareng — I first had grilled cheese and tomato at McAlister’s. It’s a summer treat, like the hot weather version of the winter lunch with tomato soup.

Soooooo good. I haven't had bacon in a couple of years. I had a turkey/provolone sandwich, BBQ chips and an ice cream bar.

Bacon and tomato with homegrown tomatoes sounds perfect for a hot day simple and delicious! I haven’t had dinner, but something light like that sounds just right.

Chicken with lettuce and carrots. BBQ sauce for the chicken, balsamic vinegrette for the salad. I still have some bad habits.
