How often do you do your laundry? I try to launder my bed sheets at least once a year, and my socks and underwear even more often than that. Today I decided to launder my sheets. I have a new favorite set of flannel sheets from LL Bean, and I want to keep them fresh and colorful..@Vandana7 is an expert in my sheet washing behavior. How often do you do laundry?

For us, everyday is a laundry day. So the washing machine is kept busy and we have a good expenditure on washing machine detergents. Anyways we have to manage it that way only as of now.

Actually, I like the western idea of having washing downstairs.... but waiting there while the machines are running...:( We have a 7 kg washing machine. I wash my clothes on Wednesday or Thursday. Dad's clothes on Saturday. I do need to scrub and soak dad's clothes. My undergarments, daily manually. Once a month sofa covers, foot mats, and bed sheets. Once in six months curtains. I used to wash bed sheets more frequently...once a week.....but I stopped changing as frequently.

@TheHorse No, for one person. Pretty does her own laundry.

Since my washer gave up we go just about every three weeks to the laundromat, but I dry things at home. I will probably wash more often when we get a new washer.

Where will you find a new washer? I hate looking for that kind of stuff.

My family lived out of our trailer for a year, so we had to do the laundromat bit and I feel your pain. If funding for a new machine is an issue, perhaps trying OfferUp to get a free working washing machine might help. I’m not affiliated with that app at all, but I’ve used it a lot to get free and low-priced items. It’s saved me a lot of misery.

Laundry is a mystery to me. I put my dirty stuff into a basket, and it just appears one day in my drawers and closets neatly folded and put away. It is magic I cannot fully comprehend, but that's an amazing basket I have. Shockingly, I don't think my wife likes magic because every time I complement the magic she slaps me.

I do laundry once a week, otherwise I would run out of underwear. Sheets and towels go in once every 2 weeks.

If I turn my underwear inside-out after two weeks, I find they can last fora month.

@TheHorse The fact that you can wear your underwear inside out is an achievement of itself. Unfortunately, female human beings do not have that luxury, for numerous biological reasons. Underwear for us is definitely a one-use-one-wash thing, and properly fitting female upper underwear can be expensive, and that underwear cannot be worn inside out without pain.

Sounds like a reasonable schedule. I already put my sheets back on my bed.

I'm really lucky. I have three days of clean underwear left, so I won't have to do laundry for another month. You wash your sheets once a year???? You rich, out of touch coastal elites really do live different lives.

Especially in the summer I sit around in my comfortable night shirts and change when I sweat but I don't need to wash more than say once a month,

I usually wash whenever I have a load. It might be once or twice a week. I usually do sheets and towels separately and lights and darks. Nothing gets really filthy now we're off the farm.

I do one clothes wash and one towel wash each week. I do very ocassionally do a second clothes wash. There is only the two of us. Bed linen I do when I feel it should be changed ....We are at home more sometimes than others so that's why it varies

About every 3 weeks or so. Cousin #3 is in charge of that. The days that she spends 3 hours she can do my laundry.

We do laundry every Sunday. Sheets are doing about monthly but towels and wash cloths are done weekly. Cloths too.
