Does not understand "No"

I have a Medicare Advantage Plan. I also see my doctor on a regular basis. One year I did a telehealth visit with my plan. I did not like it. The woman was absolutely ignorant in my opinion. She did not know me.
I have a very good primary care physician, and any type of specialist I may need, but United Health Care, my insurance, keeps trying to get me to do an appointment with one of their providers as well. I usually let the calls go to voice mail, but last night I did not.
Very polite lady who called me Miss Heather and wanted me to schedule telehealth. I said "no". She said, we could do a video conference if I did not want a telephone appointment. I said "no". She asked me why I did not want this "free" appointment, and I told her I did not want an appointment with someone who does not even know me. I said "no", thank you. She kept talking. Do I want to take down the number in case I change my mind? I said "no" It was hard to get her to end the call, and very frustrating.
See why I usually ignore the calls?

I have the same problem and I ignore them all or I tell them I am not interested in an appointment. Humana is always trying to thrust some or other appointment down my throat, and has even called my doctor. I find them quite annoying actually.

I do not like them I do not want them. I said so at least four times. I even got a little bit loud.

Guess you didn't make yourself clear enough
I would just have ended the call after the first "no".

I had that type of problem during the pandemic. (I kept insisting my phone wasn't capable of doing tele-health video calls. It was and still is capable of doing it if I want it to.) I finally told the person that if I couldn't see a real doctor, then I would go to the ER and have my health checked there and they could pay for that, instead. I got an appointment with a doctor shortly after that. They asked me to wear a mask...
As if I'd see a doctor even now without wearing a mask.

I was as plain as I could be. If I remember correctly the person who did the one I accepted did not know squat about me but could look at my records and of the two prescriptions I take asked why I needed the one. If she could put a and b together she would have known.

@GardenGerty I agree... How much do you want to bet the person you talked with was a student nurse?

I have the same. I also had the exam through my insurance. It went well and I learned a lot. All they want is to direct us and answer any questions or concerns we might have. My big question now is that I recently got a letter from the department of health and welfare saying I am able to get Medicaid. With the administration the way it is I'm not sure that would be in my best interest.

That made me laugh. Some years ago my father had to have prostate surgery. The medics wanted him to have some radiation treatment that would involve collecting all his radioactive urine for disposal for a period of a week or two. My mother said no, not in my house. If you want to collect radioactive urine you can do it in the hospital.
Of course nowadays they are keen to get patients out of hospital as fast as possible, so they tried everything to get her to change her mind. They even sent the consultant round to the house! My mother was happy to see him and she was always more than happy to chat to people who called at the door, but never invited them in, so she kept him on the doorstep while he tried to impress her, but she wasn't having any of it. She told the consultant 'I'm not the kind of person to change my mind, if I was, I would have divorced him years ago'!

My Medicare Advantage plan is always trying to get a nurse to come to the house. I go to my doctors regularly and have a regular TeleHealth appointment with a specialist. I do not need someone invading my privacy.
