Good morning friends. Over 60 years ago I got married to my late husband. I found yesterday some papers I had written, some letter from my mom and a couple of letter from the girls wjen they were young.I´m sorting them and throwing some with no value. Other will be shown to my girls. It all started 3 days ago when my sister called me and told me that she had never been bright. I remembered some letters she wrote to me when she was in the US in an exchange program and I told her that I´d check if I still had them. Those letters are still missing but I just found a letter from Claudia. She was 10 years old then and very much like she is now at 60. My chores today will be to read old letters. I already washed some clothes and when Juanita, my washing machine finished, the sun hid.

I know it's not a Happy Anniversary, because your husband is no more with you, but you have surely great memories and I am sure you remember that day of 60 years ago.

Reading old letters is always delightful. The letters my mother wrote are still safely kept by my maternal uncle, who passed away forty-five years ago. I've seen those from him. Since I was too young to know how she was.i feel extremely happy to read her letters.

@marguicha That must be funny. It's always a pleasure when we see such things of our childhood. Hope she is enjoying reading it with you.

@sjvg1976 I have read letters from Claudia today that go from saying that I´m the best mom in the world to others that mention that I wasn´t. I had that relation with my mom.

@allknowing Yesterday Claudia read one of her letters saying that I was not a good mother. Today, I read a birthday card from her saying that I was the best mother in the world. Maybe I should throw away yesterday´s letter.

I hope you're remembering all the good times you had with your hubby and your little girls. Pretty threw away old letters/cards she didn't think I needed anymore when we were getting ready to move to this house. I'd kept them up until then. I washed a lot of dirty dishes this morning and woke up a little while ago.

@marguicha True... Pretty was trying to trim down what we'd need to move into this small house from our large house so a lot of stuff got thrown away. We still have a lot of stuff packed in plastic totes in the garage. We haven't been in most of those totes since we moved into this house almost 8 years ago.

It is interesting when our past joins us in the form of old papers and letters. Hard to dry clothes when the sun hides away.

I love these old letters. I just found one from one of my closest friends. It was dated around 50 years ago when her husband went to the US for a PhD.
