Not Quite Grilled Cheese

Happy Wednesday Everyone! we had a sprinkling of rain earlier this morning and the forecast calls for some pop up storms throughout the day. We can use the rain but hopefully it won't be torrential downpours.
I had my first cup of coffee when I got up and then got involved in a few things and didn't realize I hadn't eaten breakfast.
One of my favorite cheese is Colby extra sharp cheddar so I decided to have that on toast. Except once I had the cheese on the open pieces of toast I decided to pop them under the broiler and just get the cheese all melty and bubbly. Oh so good!! Of course I gobbled it down, along with some red grapes and now my tummy is smiling and I'm enjoying my second cup of coffee.
Usually the pup is underfoot when someone is in the kitchen because she has to have something of whatever is being made.
Today she slept through my breakfast which I didn't have to share. Thank goodness she can't drink coffee

The cheese sounds nice. I had some Pepperidge Farm Caramel Brioche toast with butter .yum.

What a delicious way to start the day, especially when it is dark and cloudy.
We have a similar day here today, and surprisingly enough, I had a slice of marble cheese on my morning coffee break, just because I love cheese to much, as it sounds you do also.
Great minds think alike.

I like almost all cheeses I can think of except I am not a fan of plain old American cheese slices, which are of course not ''real'' cheese, anyway. I think Swiss is my very favorite.

I have an idea that cheese isn't very good for dogs but I'm not sure if that's right or not. I might have a toasted cheese sandwich for my lunch. Thanks for the inspiration! lol

Sounds like a cozy morning with just the right amount of rain! Melty Colby cheddar on toast is definitely the breakfast upgrade I need to try.
Love how the pup gave you the full kitchen to yourself this time, lucky you!

Can you imagine if people gave coffee to dogs and cats? (Yes, I know coffee is toxic to dogs and cats.) Think about how much more energetic the pets would be...

Rain and hot coffee are a delightful combination.it gives a kick start to the mind.The sound of rain and the warmth of coffee to be a relaxing and enjoyable pairing, especially when enjoyed indoors.
