It Would be Sad to See it Go

Mostly, we just get junk mail and a few bills a month. I wouldn't miss them. Used to, I had lively, ongoing back and forth letters with several family members but all of that is text messages now with the few family members who are left. The US should probably end the postal system here, too, and save the money.

I think it would be odd and take a lot of getting used to it. I get mainly junk mail and bills, but do perfer the paper statement bills vs. paperless. To easy to forget about paperless!!

I remember writing many a letter when I was young. My BFF moved and so we would write long letters to one another. Others down through the years too. It's sad, but most changes are for a while.

I have not written any for years but I do get mail - mostly from banks

I feel like it is almost done now here in Canada. Our crown corporation, Canada Post, has been on strike twice since last November. They are 'working' now but no one considers them reliable.

The news was also reported here. I do get mail from banks occasionally.

I know of people who only get communication by mail or phone calls at a public phone. No private phones, no texts, no internet, no e mail. I hope the mail continues to be an option.

I would miss it.

That's amazing that letter delivers are ceasing in Denmark. People really need to be internet and/or phone savvy these days.

I wonder how many people actually write letters these days.

I do miss writing letters myself. I would be sad if letter deliveries were to cease.

It would be sad except for the junk mail I receive. I do wonder how they would substitute important mail such as car registration and licenses. Online safety might be an issue. And having to go to DMV in person and wait on a line would be a hassle.

That is sad. I like writing letters but not now when emails are fast way to communicate. I don't think it will end here in India because most of the government communication is still being done through the post. So it won't end here.

I like getting mail even if it is junk mail.
